Houston food, restaurants and dining review. Urban living, travel, thoughts and other randomness. Thursday, September 22, 2005. NOTES: While Rome Burned. While Rome burned, Nero played the fiddle. Rita is barrelling down upon us. There is a 100 mile traffic jam (no I'm not making that number up) to Dallas. It's taking 16 hours to get to Austin when it should take 2.5 hours. So what do Rekha and I do? We go to Central market, pick-up some gourmet food and have ourselves a feast. Posted by Huan at 9:37 PM.

Houston food, restaurants and dining review. Urban living, travel, thoughts and other randomness. Saturday, March 28, 2009. 11500 Space Center Blvd. Houston, Texas 77059. Cullen's is a Vegas restaurant landed on a Houston suburb. Surrounded by fields, including Ellington field, this beautiful edifice, houses a dining room that soars like a circus tent muted by browns- lots of browns. The restaurant seats hundreds and is probably the most over-the-top restaurant since Bistro Moderne. My "CHAIRMAN RESERVE ...

The po-boy tasted okay. Th...I wou...

Houston food, restaurants and dining review. Urban living, travel, thoughts and other randomness. Wednesday, August 31, 2005. What is Houston without Goode Company's Barbecue? It's the ribs. You come for their ribs. Rubbed with some spices, it makes a good accompaniment to the deep smoky barbecue sauce. Eat the ribs here. You'll love them. You might also like the sausage (not the turkey sausage crap) and the brisket. It all goes good with the sauce. Posted by Huan at 11:10 PM. Wednesday, August 24, 2005.

Houston Restaurant Reviews: June 2005

Houston food, restaurants and dining review. Urban living, travel, thoughts and other randomness. Wednesday, June 29, 2005. An English pub in Houston. Red Lion serves up real English patrons, a dark and comfy bar, football (soccer) on the tube, and reasonably priced pub food. I had lamb curry served with rice. Curry? I highly recommend this dark hole on S. Shephard. The food sucks, but it's the atmosphere and beer that matter here. Posted by Huan at 10:56 PM. Saturday, June 25, 2005. They serve tradition...
