Emma's birthday is coming up, and I haven't a clue what I'm supposed to do for that. I've only been dating her for a little over a month now, and I haven't even seen very much of her recently because she's been studying for her. Of all the people that go to this school, I have the misfortune of running into Lupin the most. Though I have to say it doesn't bother me as much as it used to. Though I'm pretty sure he is queer. Of funerals and whatnot. In case anyone actually noticed my absence from classes the other day, I was unfortunately called away for a funeral. My uncle Alphard passed away a few days ago. I didn't know him all that well, truth be told. He seemed alright to me, at least, but apparently looks can be deceiving. I know of at least one person who wasn't sorry to see him go. I didn't even go to the Great Hall during meals today, just in case. I bet Lupin can't wait to gloat. Along with everyone else. Merlin, of everyone to have a crush on, did it have to be Sirius? And did she really need to hang all over Potter like that? I'm not as stupid as Evan thinks. I know that Emma isn't trying to get to Sirius through me.
