Ole Cackalack: Rally for the DREAM
http://olecackalack.blogspot.com/2010/06/rally-for-dream.html
Rally for the DREAM. The Raleigh based DREAMers held a rally at the state capitol building this past Friday. At the event they debuted the start of a 65 hour fast by two brave volunteers (representing the 65,000 undocumented students that graduate each year without access to affordable college access and a path to citizenship so they can benefit this country) and the start of a 1,500,000 second fast. They are calling on the people of North Carolina to contact Senator Kay Hagan. Saturday Trip to Durham.

Entrances to holiness are everywhere. Ein lev shalem k’lev shavur. [There is no pure heart like a broken heart]" - R. Nachman of Bratzlav. Sunday, July 3, 2011. I met someone who said they read my zine, I think in Hawaii. They said that their roommate was a Chabad Rabbi, who apparently, upon seeing the word "Anarchist" in the title, decided it must be blasphemy, and promptly threw it in the recycling bin. Without actually reading it. July 11, 2011 at 10:04 PM. July 12, 2011 at 12:18 AM. Paul Berman expla...

Entrances to holiness are everywhere. Ein lev shalem k’lev shavur. [There is no pure heart like a broken heart]" - R. Nachman of Bratzlav. Thursday, August 26, 2010. The Struggles of Transformation. A week ago today, I experienced the culmination of a years worth of formal study, and five years of independent research and examination, and uncountable years of searching for a spiritual home. I drove down to Mikveh. At the Orthodox shul. I went before a Bet Din. As my Hebrew name. My response- that in ...

Instead, I'll be writing about my feelings and thoughts about the day over all, and maybe a little about after hours discussions. There was also an amazing, beautiful Shabbat service. I've never felt so turned on to the type of energy that was radiating through the room like that! Links to this post. Thursday, March 10, 2011. I'm leaving tonigh...

Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Rabbi I Have a Problem. Cubism and the Seventy Faces of Torah. May 22, 2015. Last week a Picasso painting sold at the record price of $160 million. The cubist painting “Women of Algiers” was auctioned off by Christie’s in New York to an anonymous buyer for $20 million more than its $140 million pre sale estimate. Torah, Musings, and Links by a Campus Rabbi. Just expanded its eligibility guidelines. To include student who participated in an educational trip during High School (it was already opened to students who visited with family members). Additionally, post-college students will have some chances to go on the trip past the previous cut-off of age 26. This is welcome news but leads to a few questions.
