Neither a graduation ceremony nor a performance, our students lead a majority of prayers Shabbat morning, chant Torah and Haftarah, deliver a d'var Torah (a short speech that explains lessons from that morning's Torah portion) and in all ways demonstrate their growth into adulthood and their eager acceptance of adult responsibility.

Our tefillot (services) use many contemporary tunes as well as Reform Movement favorites. Most sermons are teaching moments with discussion encouraged. We use the Chai Cirriculum in our teaching. Details on this cirriculum are available here: Link to Chai Cirriculum. Grades 11 and 12 are in the monthly Brunch with the Rabbi program where they gather one Shabbat morning for brunch (of course) and a discussion of a contemporary topic using ancient texts as a guide.
