Rabbits In My Basement

Rabbits In My Basement. In which I blog about my miniature wargaming and whatever else takes my interest! Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Spent a couple of nights trying out my idea for pot fields. After a bit of time trying various arrangements on my gridded cutting mat I decided on 50x50mm squares. Then it was a simple matter of cutting out the squares, gluing on a thin layer of sand and then using a hot glue gun to stick down the pot plants. After the glue set I painted over it with some khaki paint.

Rabbits In My Basement: Why Not Throwing Anything Out Can Be a Good Thing

Rabbits In My Basement. In which I blog about my miniature wargaming and whatever else takes my interest! Sunday, August 9, 2015. Why Not Throwing Anything Out Can Be a Good Thing. As I get to the end of painting the figures and vehicles for my Afghanistan project, I am pondering the terrain they will fight over more and more. Some of that terrain could be marijuana fields, which is a big cash crop in the region. Canadian soldiers establish an OP in a ruined Grape hut surrounded by marijuana. Every gamer...

Rabbits In My Basement. In which I blog about my miniature wargaming and whatever else takes my interest! Friday, August 7, 2015. Since Canadian operations in the Panjwayi were mostly in support of Afghan government forces, I decided early on to include some ANA and ANP as options for my Canadian platoon. I have finished a second quartet of Elheim figures ANP:. I painted these fellows with black belts and ammo pouches. The first four got tan pouches. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Rabbits In My Basement. In which I blog about my miniature wargaming and whatever else takes my interest! Thursday, August 6, 2015. Mrs Rabbitman and I are both liberal arts majors, so our house has books all over naturally. Each bed room has a bookcase. There is a big, hand made bookcase at the top of the stairs with everything from my medieval lit books to murder mysteries. And they need a good dusting. :-. Samurai, SYW, Napoleon, lots of Colonial and some WW1. Cupboard stuffed with gaming magazines.

Rabbits In My Basement: First LAV III and an objective marker done

Rabbits In My Basement. In which I blog about my miniature wargaming and whatever else takes my interest! Sunday, May 17, 2015. First LAV III and an objective marker done. I was gong to test my techniques on the Bison models and the 5 ton trucks before I painted a LAV, but I got excited and finished one yesterday. I also painted up that broken LAV-25 Patrick gave me. I turned it into an IED casualty to use as an objective for the Coalition forces. Some posed action shots:. So far, so good. Tea is my drug...

Rabbits In My Basement. In which I blog about my miniature wargaming and whatever else takes my interest! Saturday, May 16, 2015. Just before we took off for the Wild Frontier a little bag of 20mm goodness arrived in the mail. Elheim Miniatures ran a "I'm not going to Salute 15% off sale" and at the time I was gainfully employed, so I indulged in some more figures for my Canadians in the Panjwayi project. I got the Taliban some support with a DHSK hmg,. An SPG9 recoilless rifle,. Some other packs in the ...

Carryings On Up The Dale. The ramblings of a wargamer up a valley in a wet and windy place. My Bob Marrion Originals. Saturday, 31 December 2016. Another Russian victory and other stuff. The Russian right flank tied up Peter's best troops (converged grenadiers) as he pushed them into a village. There they were held in place by a small brigade of grenadiers and jäger. The Russians then successfully stormed the village and moved on to try and turn the French flank. Just for once I had a plan, and just for ...

I was also keen to ensure that both sides stuck to the tactical doctrines of the time, even if that did mean the Austrians would be expected to form into attack columns and carry out frontal charges against the Needle Gun-wielding Prussians! As some may already know, I'm planning on moving to Alberta some time this summer. the exact time depends on how long it takes to finish the renovations on my house, and for the house to sell. Ivy, Pippa and Rosie. This is Ivy, Pippa and Rosie, Ivy is the mother of the other two, they all live together in a very big hutch. Bonny is my other rabbit, she is also a pedigree but she is a Rex rabbit. She is more outgoing than Ivy. Rex rabbits are very soft and they feel like velvet. She likes to sit on your lap and be stroked. Her favourite food is carrots the same as Ivy. Sorry about the bad picture but she would not sit still. This is Bonny the day after we got her.
