AP] Removing AFM on AP Power-FC. March 6, 2010. February 5, 2015. The aim of this guide is to explain to AP Engineering Power FC users the process of removing the AFM and converting to a speed density setup (MAP). First, its important to understand how the AP model works. Despite being plug and play for AFM based motors, the AP Power FC does not use the AFM. According to most accounts it uses the AFM purely for its Air Intake Temps and rely’s on the Gen2 Map sensor for a speed density setup. The MAT sens...

Some of you may have experienced the limits of the MR2 braking systems, a few hard stops seem to send the fluid into a boil and make the discs hotter than the regular household frypan. Aside from temperature problems, The MR2 doesnt have an impressive clamp force and the availability of brake pads. well. what […]. 10 Mar , 2010. 3sgte vacuum hose replacement. 21 Mar , 2010. 05 Feb , 2015. 3sgte General Service Items. 27 Feb , 2013.

AP] AP Power FC wiring into a 1991. March 6, 2010. February 5, 2015. Despite all of its ‘plug and play’ claims, the AP Engineering Power FC is NOT completely plug and play for the 1991 models. The car will start and run but will have a constant CEL, this is because the early models were missing THG/THAM in the wiring harness. Lucky for us, someone was smart enough to work this out, long story short you move VS (used to power the AIT) down a row to where THG is *supposed* to be. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

March 10, 2010. November 12, 2015. Another advantage of the shim less setup is the weight savings, the stock bucket weighs 45 grams and the MR-S/IZZ weighs 29grams. That is a weight savings of 35.5%. When we are talking about units this small it seems insignificant but remember that its a part of the valvetrain and every bit counts. Measure the current clearance with a feeler gauge. Measure the bottom of the INSIDE of the bucket to the top of the shim using a micrometer. The buckets are available in 0...
