September 19, 2008. On Tuesday, September 2nd, my little brother returned home from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania mission. Elder Carson Brown had not seen my other brother Garrett in close to 4 years (their missions barely overlapped), and he had not ever met Kallee (she was born while he was gone). Needless to say it was a sweet reunion! Actually, I came close to missing the whole dang thing - Carson's flight was 20 minutes early (since when does that ever happen? My handsome brothers - both single!

Rachel and Tom met in Oakland, California on September 15th 2012. Their first date was a walk around Lake Merritt with Doomer the Dog. At first it seemed that Rachel did not like Tom at all. It was only around the middle of the walk that Tom managed to make Rachel laugh, and it was a few weeks later that she let him take her to dinner for a "real date". After falling madly in love, in May of 2012 they moved in together to their home in Oakland with Doomer the Dog.
