Jun 23, 2015. 1 這次出發前總算沒有那麼匆忙。打包完我還抽空看了一下NBA highlight. 2 23:55飛到那邊19:40. 隔天4:30就醒來。下午狂打噴涕加上止不住的鼻水，原本以為完蛋了感冒了。沒想到下午特別開回旅館睡了兩小時之後，一切都正常了。 3在Vancouver的三天半共開了600km, 在Rocky Mt. 五天半開了 1150km. 平均一天開 under 200 km, 而且都是不熟的路, 真的很累。特別是去開去西雅圖的那天。Friday afternoon 從 Premium outlet 開到市區，45min 的路程開了2hrs. 塞車想睡覺極痛苦. 5美加太乾燥，之前長住時最大的困擾這次一去也是不到第二天就開始發作，每天都瘋狂地在搔抓我的大小腿，麻養難當很是痛苦。 6Vancouver建築物幾乎都是用綠色玻璃，不知有何原因，看了非常舒服。 我平常太嚴肅了，人生應該要多一點搞笑。每天都要 have fun. Aug 10, 2014. 七月底的星期日有去Josh家聊天，找了Paul and Doris, 非常愜意，而且木柵真的很近，開車又有停車位，Josh 自己一個人住一整層，全部重新裝潢過，60吋電視，這樣子的 hang out，夫復何求? 感想就是，我已經非常努力在裝潢我以後會住的內湖房子，前一天才剛去看過完工的樣子，好不容易終於有點小滿意，沒想到去過Josh的豪宅後，還是滿另人沮喪的, 等級實在是差太多了。不過也好，我覺得家裡弄太高級，我可能出去外面會很難適應外面的世界。 8/1請假陪cc去挑宴客用婚紗，因為兩週前去挑過不太理想，所以趁鬼月衣服齊全的時候再去挑一次。不過仍然未達到標準，還好中山北路上不乏婚紗店，剛好運氣也真不錯，就在馬路對面的一家店找到服務不錯，衣服好看，價格也合理的Judy。回家冷靜過後，還是覺得不錯，於是隔天就再去一次把衣服給訂下來。解決了一件大事。 上星期六想說載爸媽去外面繞一繞，原本想說一兩個小時的行程，結果我爸說要去陽明山，十點出門去到竹子湖吃個飯，再回到家都一點了，他也直乎吃不消。 Posted by Phil Chang. Sep 28, 2014. 這週好像是星期一吧，中午剛好老闆問要不要一起吃飯，就跟同事四個人一起去吃。 聊天時，老闆說道：「香港banker A的大陸朋友似乎是富二代還是什麼的，年紀輕輕就已經做到很高職位了。每次來台灣都問我：「台灣有沒有什麼好買的？」，我心想：就算有也不要告訴你！」. 我大概知道我老闆不太喜歡大陸人，但是心裡想說，奇怪，有這麼嚴重嗎？來台灣玩如果想買些名產還是什麼新奇的東西，不告訴他他去問別人應該也是問得到才對. 正滿腹狐疑，我老闆又接著說道：「你們知道嗎？他(指大陸人)已經買了義大世界20%的股份！」. 我頓時感到無地自容.有錢人想買的，並不是什麼東西，而是公司, 是股權. Jan 2, 2015. 常常說花東花東，好像花蓮台東本一家，但其實我發現我這兩年去了花蓮兩次，一次是跟家人住理想大地，另一次是跟同事去太魯閣。反觀台東，自從國小畢業旅行之後好像就再也沒去過了。這次去才發現，原來我對台東這麼不熟，許多景點玩起來都充滿第一次的新鮮感。 心得：台東真的非常沒有人，也完全沒有開發；比起來花蓮市區很熱鬧也很大，而且離台北又更近了，搭普悠瑪只要兩個半小時。台東最快也要三個半小時。 這次用了新買的SONY alpha 5100 拍的，非常滿意，照起來簡直要比用爛相機拍的義大利還要出色。 台東站，周圍都是重劃區，完全沒東西，雖然已經十年了. 鹿野高台 在這裡跟 Cleo 碰面. 很像 Princeton, 遊客非常多，比較新的景點. Mar 15, 2015. 國泰基幹班 2015/3/9 - 3/13. 這幾天的活動閒暇之餘，讓我思考最多的，就是自己在團體中的角色。我一直在想，在一群人之中我的特色是什麼？我該怎麼做，做什麼，才是對整個團隊有最大的貢獻。如何盡我最大的力量去幫助整個團體？ 結果我在昨天結訓典禮心得分享前想出來了！不過後來上台我可能因為緊張只講了前面兩點，忘記講最後的結論，真可惜。 團體人少的時候，比如說我們每個小組6位成員，還算容易看到自己的相對優點。但是當團體人一多，比如說擴大到整個基幹班24位同事，就越來越難。在不同團體中，我的相對優點會改變，但無論如何我都能在這三件事上努力。 Posted by Phil Chang. Nov 26, 2014. 去完義大利之後，回家又再看了一次《寫給年輕人的簡明世界史》這本書。 發現或發明新東西的時候，往往可以讓發現者大幅擴大領先優式。例如西班牙國力在成功發現美洲大陸上源源不絕的金銀財寶王之後國力大增。或是像工業革命初期，擁有紡織機的人們權力和所得瞬間暴增數百倍，若是美國某一天從某星球上帶回一種地球上沒有的導電性極佳的新元素，那美國一定也會賺翻了。 一個學說或思想的出現，都有其時代背景。例如社會主義的思潮會出現，正是因為在當時少數握有生產機器的資本家突然變得可以控制工人的命運，大多數人工人日子變得非常痛苦，且只能眼睜睜地看著這種狀況一天比一天惡化。所以很自然的會出現支持機器應歸國家所共有的這種聲音。 對比之下台灣的房市問題也出現類似的情況，大多數人買不起房子，少數有房子的人可以透過抵押貸款繼續滾雪球搬得累積財富。於是社會上就會出現打壓富人的這種聲音。 改革需要時勢，馬丁路德不是第一個提出反對贖罪券說法的人。但他的說法卻能得到大眾的響應，除了他自己非常優秀，也是需要天時地利人和。 另外，這幾天看了國家地理頻道製作的: The Fabric of the Cosmos 系列. 卡布里島我...

Mar 15, 2015. 國泰基幹班 2015/3/9 - 3/13 Part II. 去受訓之前沒有特別去打聽活動內容，也沒有特別的期待，不過心情上真的非常輕鬆沒壓力。去完之後打從心底覺得收獲很多。印象最深刻的算是第二天一整天的「贏在當責」活動。這個貌似黃秋生的老師很搞笑又會帶，玩的遊戲都是我沒有完過的，而且都很有意義。 講師講得課也都多少有些幫助，對我來說算是很新奇的體驗。有幾句話讓我非常有感觸：. 玩肢體傳遞遊戲的時候，兩個強烈的體會。1. 原來多人出主意，好主意可以在這麼短的時間內就產生。2.原來本來覺得不可能的事，經過多階段改良之後，達到、甚至超越了原先的目標。 玩囚犯困境的時候，我看到第二次協商完，另外兩組明明知道第四組會出黑，還是堅持出白，有點驚訝。我們這組雖然得利，當下我卻一點喜悅感也沒有，內心感到十分愧疚。同組的組員也都一樣，覺得如果再重來一次，一定不會為了贏這場遊戲而做出讓其他組如此失望的決定。 我覺得不管做任何決定，一定要記得把自己的層次拉高，從更大的團體利益和更長遠的時間來思考，才能做出最周全的決定。 Posted by Phil Chang.

Sunday, April 6, 2008. To Live is To Know. Part of me feels that they are simply changing a definition, which is cheating. But the idea sticks with me. I had TMJ last week and the first thing I did was label it. That was my brain working. Then, my brain figured out what to do: massage and ice until my acupuncturist got back into town.
