Saturday, July 18, 2009. Man, its been almost a month since I last posted! Tim got into Djibouti. Freaking relived he made it ok. We got to talk with him on Skype. This morning and he looks great. You would never know that he just got in from a 40 hour trip! He says its very hot, but not humid. This is pretty much what his trip was like. 2 hours to New York. 12 hour layover in JFK. 7 hour flight to Paris. 13 hour layover there. And then a 6 hour flight to Djibouti. Those of you who have FB. India Trip

January 2008 - Thanks to gracious supporters, I am one of six students traveling to Vellore, India for a medical rotation. I will spend 3 weeks soaking in the medical practices and diseases of this country. Saturday, February 9, 2008. Home again, Home again. one thousand beautiful things

One thousand beautiful things. Well she's our girl now. October 28, 2016. Mable is a mini black lab who was removed from an appallingly neglectful situation early in her life, and placed into foster care. Now Mable is a part of our family: sleeping in a commandeered comfy chair, drinking the water that drains from the houseplants, chewing up rolls of toilet paper, and patiently bearing our daily doses of affection. Having her here is familiar and happy. It's ridiculous, all this fuss over a dog, isn't it?

Fun Also, Games. Stories about living in different places, entertainment, comedy, traveling, and fun. Friday, August 6, 2010. I know that I only have three more weeks of this, but a certain incident last night really made it feel like three weeks will seem like three years. What am I talking about? Are there invisible fences in between the tables? Oh, I didn't think so. So I turned my chair towards their table and it was like I was sitting with them, and THAT was okay. Stupid. Phew Three more weeks.
