Rachel JoAnne*: Bethlehem

http://www.racheljherrmann.blogspot.com/2009/07/bethlehem.html

Thursday, July 23, 2009. Today we took a half day trip to Bethlehem. Because it's in the West Bank and the check points, we were only allowed to go there this one time. We went to Bethlehem University, had lunch at a restaurant called, 'The Tent', and went to Bethlehem square where they believe Christ was born. Walking into the cave where Christians believe Christ was born. Inside the church at Bethlehem University. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Mediterranean and Red Sea visits!

Friday, June 12, 2009. I had the amazing opportunity to spend a week in Egypt! Here are pictures from the stops on the journey to Egypt, and in Cairo, Giza, and Luxor. I know I know, I am a horrible blogger. I have been here for 2 months and only made 2 blog posts. sad. However, they are really long posts chalk full of my escapades in the Holy Land and. EGYPT! Right when you passed the Egyptian border, you see this little island; it belonged to one of the pharaohs. It reminded me of a huge sand castle.

Thursday, July 30, 2009. I give you. JORDAN! Sorry, my titles aren't very creative). This is the funerary tomb in Petra (you've probably seen it in the Indiana Jones movie), it was amazing to see it in real life. You have to walk a couple miles through a canyon/mountain to get to it, but it's well worth the walk. I couldn't believe how well it was preserved after all these years. (Oh and I'm not an angry person, it just went with the theme of the place). Look into the glass, now what do you see? Rachel I...

AUBREY: June 2009

http://aubreyann128.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Friday, June 26, 2009. Finally my post for Jordan is ready! The past few days have been crazy because we have all been studying for finals, but I finally got it done. We visited Petra, Jarash, the Jordan River, a crusader castle, Amman and saw some amazing things! The people were great and I loved the cities that we stayed in. I didn't quite know what to expect on this trip because I didn't know very much about Jordan previous to going there, but now I am a huge fan and would love to go back. This past S...

Thursday, April 30, 2009. First Day in the City. This is a picture of the outside of our room. The rooms are open to the outside and all have a patio that looks out over the city. Today we took a quick tour of Jerusalem and it got me so excited! We only had time to orient ourselves and get used to our surroundings a little so we didn't really go into depth on anything, but I can't wait to learn more. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. I am in JERUSALEM! This is one view of the Old city from the Jerusalem Center.

AUBREY: Herodian Field Trip

http://aubreyann128.blogspot.com/2009/07/herodian-field-trip.html

Saturday, July 11, 2009. This Thursday we went down to the Jewish Quarter of the Old City and took a tour of the Herodian remains of the city. It was really interesting to actually see and visualize how the temple mount looked during the time of Christ. This is a model of the temple mount during Herod's time. This is another model of the temple mount and city. Southwestern corner of the temple mount. July 13, 2009 at 12:41 PM. The red sea looks like a blast. Mom said you are so sun burnt! I sure love you.

http://emilyinjerusalem.blogspot.com/2009/08/these-are-last-days.html

Tuesday, August 11, 2009. These are the Last Days. I have royally neglected my blog this past month. Where has all the time gone? I feel like my life has been roaring past and I can hardly catch a minute to stand still and take a breath. I will be leaving the JC in less than 48 hours to head home. What a summer! Tonight my buddy Alex said: "If it feels this good to walk so close to where Jesus walked, imagine how great it will be to live with Him! Well, I have 48 hours left to squeeze the most I can out ...

Saturday, July 11, 2009. Sorry that my blog posts have been getting farther and farther apart, but we have been in Galilee for the past 10 days and I am still trying to catch up on things before we left. Anyways, about 2-3 weeks ago we had a "Night at the Oscars" where we all had a chance to display our movie making abilities. I personally was able to contribute to quite a few of the movies and it was great to see it all come together and to see the creativity displayed by others as well. After snorkelin...
