Unlocking Depression: October 2014
http://unlockingdepression.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 26, 2014. Why I Kept Quiet. Subconsciously I believed that I didn't need anyone else. I had it figured out- by myself. What I did not realize then was the immense power that would come with sharing my story, with sharing my pain, with sharing what depression looks and acts like. Had I known, I think it would not have taken 12 years to get to the root of the monster. And so, why did I keep quiet? We need each other. If not, God would have put us on our own islands! We're living our dreams ...

Unlocking Depression: Marriage Under Fire! For Those Who Care for those Struggling...
http://unlockingdepression.blogspot.com/2015/08/marriage-under-fire-for-those-who-care.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. For Those Who Care for those Struggling. I believe that one of the toughest challenges with depression and anxiety can come to the spouses of those who are suffering. Sometimes it just becomes too much. I've heard it referred to as "caretaker fatigue." And rightly so. Countless marriages continue to be challenged because one spouse is dealing with emotional difficulties that often do not make sense to the "normal" spouse. Hold fast to KINDNESS (click to listen). I love to give peo...

Unlocking Depression: March 2015
http://unlockingdepression.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 24, 2015. It was a few years into depression that I really began to recognize that I was numb. But I felt alone. So alone. In a world swimming with people, with friends and loved ones who would have succored me had I let them in, I was alone. There were days when I felt abandoned by God. I did not understand it. I thought I was doing everything I should to feel Him. Numbness. It's real. It's a casualty of depression. But it does not need to stay. Thursday, March 19, 2015. Now that it is 15...

Unlocking Depression: June 2015
http://unlockingdepression.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 24, 2015. The Beginning of the Final Puzzle Piece- BRAIN/MIND KEYS. It is the winter of 2010. My good friend recommended a book to me. She was in the middle of her own journey of finding answers for one of her children who was having significant health challenges. She told me about the book and, honestly, I was somewhat skeptical. I tucked the information away. About a month after the experience that I wrote about in this post. I decided it must be a sign- I needed to read this book!

Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Resources for Hormone Health - BRAIN KEY. I began my journey into figuring out my hormone imbalances at Health Rejuvenation Institute in Spanish Fork, Utah. Their website is http:/ www.mountainspringsmedicine.com/. Another option is Genysis Medical Institute. In Midvale, Utah. I have had a couple of recommendations for them. Search their website, make a call, ask questions. Doctors of this kind are popping up all over. Find one in your area. It matters! Monday, April 27, 2015.

Unlocking Depression: February 2015
http://unlockingdepression.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 19, 2015. When Pen Meets Paper.a KEY. I had an experience early this morning that reminded me that everyone is fighting a battle; everyone is facing some sort of challenge; everyone needs a little slack. We live in a fallen world which means there are obstacles. Without the obstacles, growth would not happen. And that peace is worth more than all the money in the world, more than any possible earthly experience. Here is an article. When Pen Meets Paper. I love to give people hope that ...

Unlocking Depression: Healing Model--BRAIN...MIND KEYS
http://unlockingdepression.blogspot.com/2015/04/even-though-internal-voices-say-no-here.html
Saturday, April 25, 2015. Healing Model- BRAIN.MIND KEYS. For several days now I have been working on the following model. It was a download to me directly from heaven! I have had lots and lots of internal voices tell me to just leave it be, to not waste my time, that it doesn't really matter, that no one is going to care, that I'm not a physician or psychiatrist and so I don't have the authority. BRAIN and MIND health are BOTH needed to overcome depression and anxiety. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Unlocking Depression: September 2014
http://unlockingdepression.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Old and New Stories - KEY Truth. I wrote a certain story. About myself that began just a year or so into taking anti-depressants. There were two major side effects for me from the medication: 1) tiredness (a lot of it! And 2) loosing feeling (a topic for another day). Did the anti-depressants cause some chemical changes in my body that caused the tiredness that could not be controlled for? Likely. The point is that I unknowingly began to write a different story. The ups and d...

Unlocking Depression: Trauma-Induced Depression--BRAIN/MIND Keys
http://unlockingdepression.blogspot.com/2015/08/trauma-induced-depression-brainmind-keys.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Trauma-Induced Depression- BRAIN/MIND Keys. I recently found an article. That is extremely insightful. Sometimes we believe that trauma is only something that is very traumatic- like the death of a loved one, a car accident, getting seriously hurt, etc. In fact, trauma can be anything that sends our nervous system into survival mode. (see below for more on trauma). Psychology Today, Susanne Babbel, Ph.D, MFT. Getting to the root of depression and anxiety means acknowledging tra...
