Stroke Association Resolution Run. March 8, 2015. I ran the 10k today in Glasgow in memory of my Papa John. I’ve run once in the past 8 weeks so obviously I just wanted to get round alive. My dad drove me today which was a nice surprise and he provided some moral support at various points along the course. (It was 2 laps around the green). It wasn’t particularly busy and in true Scottish style, we went through pretty much the full spectrum of weather. Circuit training on Wednesday. Run on Friday evening.

I’m not dead! August 9, 2015. It’s been a long time since I blogged (eep) and a lot but also not a lot has happened. Great Women’s 10k was completed with my mum. She got pretty tired and thus our A and B goals went out the window but we finished and made the C goal of “quicker than last year”. We also did the Oakley Mini 10k in New York in June. Return to the motherland. Getting in touch with my inner colorado girl. Like any good Colorado girl, I want to climb all 54 of Colorado’s peaks. During the summer of 2012, I decided I wanted to do them all by age 30, which gives me until 2017 to complete my goal. Let’s do this. Summer 2013 Edit: My goals have kind of changed, due to my discovery of sub-14ers. I still want to do all the 14ers someday. Don’t get me wrong though, I hiked a 14er last weekend. I still love those darn things! 13 La Plata Peak.

Transitions and Walking Home For Christmas. Until about April of this year my running consisted of 3 to 5 four mile runs a week on a treadmill. The longest run I had done over the last 5 years was the Mansfield half marathon which I completed in just over 2 hours. Thoughts on running, art, music, science and maybe pensions. 100 miles one day. Don’t. Give. Up. After completing the SDW50 and vowing never to do anything like that again I had signed up for the Thames Path 100. 100 miles from Richmond to Oxford along the Thames Path. This should be one of the easier 100 milers. No demon hills to smash me. Just flat flat flat. Wrong! What is it with pensions people and silly runs! We also parted ways and some miles on my own were put down. It was sore but not awful....
