Wednesday, May 28, 2014. It's looking like we have sold our house! In March we finally got it posted online and listed in the local newspaper. After several weeks of no response, we let the newspaper ad expire but continued to bump it to the top of Craigslist. In late April we finally got a call that someone wanted to come see it and a week later they wanted to come again! Now we've signed a contract, passed the important inspections, and are getting ready to pack up. I am so thankful for the many family...

Thursday, August 13, 2015. My mother-in-law makes the most delicious cake - She's made this cake for us several times, but last night was the first time I attempted to make it myself. I was surprised by how easy the recipe is. I love the fact that I usually have all the ingredients on hand, making it the perfect, last-minute dessert. It would also be a delicious addition to a breakfast or brunch. Last night, some friends stopped by, and I was happy to offer them a piece of this yummy cake.
