Welcome to Candy Mountain. Wednesday, December 12, 2007. Start of Season 3 Recap. Well its been a little over 2 weeks into the new season, and I've been mia from my blog so its about time to update my loyal fans about whats been going down :D. We started to sell arena teams too. We sold a 1850s 2s team for 1k. Not that I'm complaining but I'll have too much gold to spend soon : I like where this season is going already. He drops, and the game is ours. 13k in about 4-5 secs. Thats nuts. This c...

Welcome to Candy Mountain. Saturday, December 29, 2007. Arenas, Communication, and You. STOLEN FROM ISOLEE'S BLOG. Great write up by Isolee. Copypasta, to reread at a later time, and as a local place for teammates' to read as well. Com·mu·ni·ca·tion [kuh-myoo-ni-key-shuhn]. The act or process of communicating; fact of being communicated. Welcome to Candy Mountain: 5 Rogue 5v5???
http://theshooping.blogspot.com/2007/12/5-rogue-5v5.html
Welcome to Candy Mountain. Sunday, December 16, 2007. After trying out a few specs on PTR, I came to the conclusion that shoop-daggers is too baller to pass up. But what could be better? How about 4 shoopers and a HARP? So we gave it a try and it worked surprisingly well. We stomped just about everything we saw, except a 4 frost mage, 1 ele shammy group. The pain was immense :(. Anyway, enjoy the show. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Arenas, Communication, and You. Start of Season 3 Recap.

Welcome to Candy Mountain: Patch 2.3.2 Specs
http://theshooping.blogspot.com/2008/01/patch-232-specs.html
Welcome to Candy Mountain. Wednesday, January 9, 2008. Patch 2.3.2 Specs. So with the nerf to HARP, its time to check out what other rogue specs are viable for arenas. By no way is HARP dead, its just no longer the end-all be-all power-house spec that it was. So time to check out what else is out there. Started the night as Shoop-dags: 20/0/41. I respec'd to Combat-Shoop: 0/20/41. We survived it, and setup a few kites on Nitrana - Shiv - shoop back to their priest/mage to peel him :. Back to good old HARP.

Welcome to Candy Mountain: Another season, another drake
http://theshooping.blogspot.com/2008/07/another-season-another-drake.html
Welcome to Candy Mountain. Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Another season, another drake. With a few days left in season 3 our 2s team crashed from about 2300 to sub-2100. After fighting druid/warrior, druid/rogue, druid/hunter, shammy/warrior over and over it was evident that we weren't going to make it back into gladiator range in time as pally/rogue this season. Pve-gear helps overcome this, and with cheatdeath and high dodge, you can get away with it as a rogue. I didn't notice what was going wrong right aw...

Thoughts and random commentary centered on PvP, PvE, and the game as a whole. I'm interested in looking at the game from an analytical point of view, from it's design, to implementation, to both intended and unintended outcomes. Friday, April 30, 2010. An Update, of sorts. So, it's now approximately 5 months since my last post and not much has changed. I've been playing here and there, doing some Arena and grinding out some BG's. Season 8 started (Wrathful! So what of Cataclysm and beyond?

Mages are broken: Shamans in 5v5 arena, an in depth look
http://magesarebroken.blogspot.com/2007/09/shamans-in-5v5-arena-in-depth-look.html
Friday, 28 September 2007. Shamans in 5v5 arena, an in depth look. First something that is equal to all shamans in what they bring to an arena team:. 35% extra attack and cast speed, should be pretty clear in itself how friggin awesome this is, spam mana burning, spam healing, spam dps, etc etc, simply helps you get stuff done faster, doesnt need alot of explaining. Pretty much a no brainer shamans can heal, of course how good depends on the spec, not much explanation needed here. Now why is this good?
