Eeeek! - Thrift Shop Horrors
http://thrifthorror.livejournal.com/617762.html
Dec 27th, 2013 10:50 pm. I work in a hospital, pretty much the last place you'd expect to find a real thrift horror item. I walked into our utility room to get rid of a dinner tray, and I felt something staring at me. From behind a large piece of equipment came this little slice of hell. I have no idea where in the hospital it came from, and that's probably a good thing. I'm just happy it was on the way out (I hope). 2013-12-28 04:17 am (UTC). 2013-12-28 06:25 am (UTC). 2013-12-28 05:32 pm (UTC).

Horror aficionado and film buff Matthew Sweet explores the creative rivalry between the two great British horror studios of the Sixties and Seventies - Amicus taking on the might of Hammer. Matthew explores the productive rivalry between the two contenders for the heart and soul of British horror, in a blood-curdling tale of low-budget, gore-spattered one-upmanship thats full of chilling atmosphere and fun. Plaza Stockport - For fans of British Horror in all its guises
http://brit-horror.livejournal.com/10090.html
Although I have mentioned this before the Halloween showing last week was The Ghoul (Tyburn not The Karloff one as advertised, it was greeted with shouts of, 'It's the wrong Ghoul.' who needs Wallace and Gromit? And The Hammer version of the Hound of the Baskervilles. The last one was a lovely print. The Plaza itself is still being renovated but is in use and a lovely building to boot, the best feature being the big organ that changes colours. If anyone is going, mines a pint of Robbies.
