Pivot tables in QlikView are great. Sometimes though, you want to enable users to change the dimensions of the pivot without having make changes to the Chart. The issues to solve are:. 1 Do not display the chart unless all three dimensions are selected. 2 An item can only be selected for one dimension. LOAD * INLINE [. Next up – ...

Walter Shpuntoff on QlikView and Saleslogix Visual Analyzer. Navigating the space between data and people. Leading zeros and Excel. Excel has a nasty habit of stripping out leading zeros from your data because when it sees something that looks like it might be a number – it wants to use it that way. This can be a real problem if you are working with things like account ids, or US Postal codes. Tack a null string on to the beginning of the field. Numericfield1 as numericfield1,. May 17, 2015.

Walter Shpuntoff on QlikView and Saleslogix Visual Analyzer. Navigating the space between data and people. Controlling # Months displayed in Year over Year Charts. A common request is to display year over year comparisons, and there are a number of ways of accomplishing that. What if your users do not want to see any of the future months, or even possibly this month, since it is not yet complete? This actually turns out to be fairly easy – you just need a few pieces to make it happen. The one issue that ...

Walter Shpuntoff on QlikView and Saleslogix Visual Analyzer. Navigating the space between data and people. Bad data – why not highlight it? One of the issue you always run into when building dashboards is that you run into combinations of data that should not exist, but they do. This presents a limited set of options in terms of how you deal with it. You could just compensate for it using things like maps where you just automatically lump it into that category called “other”. How about a third approach?

Sharing my love of art journaling, list making, planning, mixed media, and my life! I’m Published In…. August 16, 2015. I love it when I’m in the mood to work on old unfinished projects. This one isn’t as old as some have been, but how fun is it to have 6 new mini journals! I have to admit, I was less than happy with the muddy appearance I gave the covers of these journals, even though the original plan was to decorate the fronts, I’ll have to work on that. Well, once again thank you for the visit,.
