Rae's Photographic Ramblings. The verbal and photographic wanderings of an incurable romantic. April 27, 2015. View from a balcony. We moved about two weeks ago, which may explain the lack of posting here. We’ve been working on unpacking, organizing, and culling stuff. The photo was taken in Alexandria, VA, at the end of April 2015. As always, the image can be clicked on to see a bigger view. This entry was posted in Miscellaneous Monday. Clouds and sun →. View from a balcony. On A scarf in progress.

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. One of my favorite places in Northern Virginia is not a vineyard but an old railway crossing. I documented the tiny post office there in this post from 2011. Art By-Products: Industrial Pattern 10: Chicken
http://pyracanthasketch.blogspot.com/2015/08/industrial-pattern-10-chicken.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Industrial Pattern 10: Chicken. My meeting with chickens at a winery has inspired me to see a fowl-ish creature emerging from the nest of iron straw at a steel mill. It lays eggs of glowing metal. I imagine it makes quite a noise as well! Fresh from the farm, the metallic chicken emerges from the industrial pattern. Brown tech pen ink on sketchbook page, 4" x 3", August 10, 2015. Interesting, is that a giant chicken? If so maybe it is really a Trex! August 11, 2015 at 6:55 PM.
Art By-Products: July Twilight Cambridge
http://pyracanthasketch.blogspot.com/2015/08/july-twilight-cambridge.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2015. As you know, I love July and August as the only part of the year warm enough for me. I'd love to move somewhere where it is always summer but you then get the unpleasantness of the tropics such as large bugs, poisonous reptiles, hostile inhabitants, and disasters and floods. And no vineyards. Markers on sketchbook page, 10" x 8", July 13, 1987. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Trivial Stuff Only Artists Worry About. I didn't have a little easel but I had a fold-out camping table which was my portable studio (big and clunky, not chic tiny easel) and I had plenty of room to set up my art stuff on it. Armin J. Raether. Freier Prediger und Liedermacher – Ein Leben mit JESUS…. spätestens ab sofort –. Es fällt mir schwer etwas über mich selbst zu schreiben.
