Every year my friends and I take a raft trip down the Hudson River in upper New York (20mins north west of Lake George). The Hudson River is 16 miles of continuous class 3 & 4 white water. Good non-stop river! Great for beginners! We stay in 3 bedroom condos near Gore MT from Thursday through Sunday. We Golf on Friday!

Directions to The Summit at Gore Mountain. From Boston & East:. Take Mass. Pike (I-90) west to NY Thruway (I-87); Follow Thruway north to Albany (Exit 24); then north on the Adirondack Northway (I-87) to Warrensburg (Exit 23). Take Route 9 North approximately 4 miles to Route 28 West. Go 15 miles to The Summit at Gore Mountain on Left. Travel Times to Summit. 2 hours 45 minutes. Upon arrival, you will crack open a beer and/or a mixed drink, then start in on the jello shots. After an evening of imbibing. Friday afternoonish, some of us will head to the golf course and others take to the hills - on mountain bikes of course! Usually, quite a few people are exhausted and take an hour or two nap before some drunk wakes them up.
