The Guild of Railway Artists. Philip D Hawkins FGRA. Maybe a childhood spent in Birmingham in the 1950's surrounded by the sights and sounds of railway trains, is responsible for Philip's enduring passion for all things railway. After graduating from Birmingham College of Art, Philip was employed in the railway industry as a technical illustrator and later as a press photographer and freelance illustrator. The Guild of Railway Artists. Terence Cuneo CVO, OBE, FGRA, RGI (1907-1996). Terence Cuneo was the establishment artist for much of the latter half of the twentieth century. Painter of portraits, the Coronation of 1953, artist to industry, renowned for his works portraying mines, dams, industrial processes, but above all his railway scenes. His works can be found in museums in: London, H.M. the Queen Mother, Guildhall Art Gallery, H.M. the Queen and the Royal Institution. Fellows of the Guild.

Keith Apperley was born in Stroud, Gloucestershire in 1958. Trained in engineering design and draughting at a local mechanical handling company, he was involved in producing artistic layouts and scale models. He has produced many pencil and water colour commissions and over the years airbrushing has become his preferred medium. He specialises in technical ‘portraits’ with an emphasis on transport themes particularly railways. Recently Keith has been accepted into the Guild of Railway Artists.
