Random Thoughts: Tonight's Feature
http://jenniferhendren.blogspot.com/2013/10/tonights-feature.html
Musings of a writer. Come on in and kick your feet up. - - Jennifer Hendren. By the Pale Moonlight. Wednesday, October 2, 2013. I had an extremely long day. I'm not feeling well. At all. That said, the horrorfest continues. Mostly because I can't find the energy to do much else. Vegging in front of the TV is doable at the moment, and I highly doubt I'll last long doing even such a non-energy requiring activity. Most likely I'll be conked out in the next ten minutes. :). Tonight's choice: Wrong Turn.

Mrs. Mitty's World: Getting On
http://mrsmittysworld.blogspot.com/2007/01/getting-on.html
A peek into the mind of a daydreaming writer. (Is there any other kind? Thursday, January 04, 2007. We've spent more time with in-town, out-of-town, and out-of-state family in the past week than we typically do in a year. It's been good to have everyone here, and good to hear all the family stories told again. But it's also been exhausting, and it's time to make our way back to routine. Hope you all are doing fine and I wish you the best of Happy New Years! Posted by Mrs. Mitty. 19299 / 100000. Kelley Ar...

Mrs. Mitty's World: July 2006

A peek into the mind of a daydreaming writer. (Is there any other kind? Thursday, July 27, 2006. The Magic in the Drawer. Nada is what I kept coming up with. Well, I’ll just write around him and his “stuff” for a while, as long as I’m writing in random scenes anyway, I said. So I did. The emotional distance I gained from sticking him in the drawer for months allowed me to see the “obvious” solution: Dispose of a character who wasn’t adding anything of substance to the story. I have a hunch that something...

http://blog.roseholck.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Very useful if, like me, you find your mind a wee bit stretched. Friday, February 25, 2011. Amazing Girl: Adora Svitak. For some reason I was thinking about this girl today. Her name is Adora Svitak. I first learned about her at a faculty meeting during inservice week last August. Here's a bit from her profile at Ted.com. She is thirteen now. I want to be like her when I grow up. Thursday, February 24, 2011. What did you do today? This is always a nail-biter since in my lifetime I've seen two launches co...

Rose's Pensieve: November 2010
http://blog.roseholck.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Very useful if, like me, you find your mind a wee bit stretched. Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Brief thoughts on the Cookbook Collector. My rating: 2 of 5 stars. Could be just me, but I grew tired of the characters. After the first seven or eight chapters, I ended up skimming. This was a book club pick. I might give it another chance at some point, but what really turned me off before I even cracked the book open were the comparisons to Jane Austen. View all my reviews. Tuesday, November 16, 2010.

Rose's Pensieve: January 2012
http://blog.roseholck.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Very useful if, like me, you find your mind a wee bit stretched. Monday, January 30, 2012. This is by far the most frightening book I've ever weeded from my library. I didn't even check my reports, but I'm pretty sure this little beaut has never been checked out. I'm feeling a little bad because this poor author probably worked long and hard to write this book. Alas, it will be weeded thereby putting it out of my misery. Here is my favorite page. Captions anyone? Labels: clowns are scary. I also blog at.

Very useful if, like me, you find your mind a wee bit stretched. Friday, April 08, 2011. REVIEW: Dust by Arthur Slade. I'm trying to think of when I first heard of Arthur Slade. It could have been somewhere in the Compuserve Books and Writers Community. Or maybe one of my writer friends mentioned him. What I really remember is sitting in a workshop at the Surrey International Writers Conference. Thanks to the lovely and talented Helene Boudreau. Don't go through all that. My point is, this was an opp...

Rose's Pensieve: Holy Mother of Invention, Batman!
http://blog.roseholck.com/2013/04/holy-mother-of-invention-batman.html
Very useful if, like me, you find your mind a wee bit stretched. Sunday, April 14, 2013. Holy Mother of Invention, Batman! I have been on spring break not goofing around. Quite the opposite! I have been hard at work re-inventing my website. I have taken on so many things in my grown-up life that my online presence has become fractured, to say the least. I have figured out a way to consolidate and organize! That's a little peek. As I began thinking about this I said to myself, "Self? I also blog at.
