~From The Myst~: Promotions & Cancer
http://blackstonemyst.blogspot.com/2014/06/promotions-cancer.html
A journal of my life. If you are looking for the poetic, the profound or the insightful you are probably in the wrong place! Tuesday, June 10, 2014. First I got promoted, well indirectly. The other manager in the north of the state has resigned, so I have been given the opportunity to take over the lot, double the work load. Naturally I have taken it - if I don't I won't get another chance. Someone else gets the job, and it doesn't come up again for years. Then she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Wow A...

Like A Monkey Doin' A Math Problem: October 2009
http://wwwmonkeymath.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Sexy Vampire Hookers Do NOT Say "Oink". Hey, we made it through the Pig Plague, at least as far as the Health Care Professional in residence can tell. A little fever here, fatigue there, and let's just leave out the (whisper) diarrhea. Anyway, it's good to be back from the dead. I was having trouble figuring out how to come up with a way to make a zombie costume look adequately trampy for my favorite fall holiday. Thursday, October 22, 2009. Excuse me while I go lie on the couch.

Like A Monkey Doin' A Math Problem: July 2009
http://wwwmonkeymath.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Wordless Wednesday: I Bet This Will Keep the Deer From Eating Mom's Flowers. Sunday, July 26, 2009. The week my children wait for all summer long! The week the church custodian fears above all others. The week that makes creative juices flow in ways we mommies only dream of all the rest of the year. Yes, Vacation Bible School is upon us again, and although we have known about it since May, we are swamped in a last-minute panic. How can we make a burning bush by tomorrow morning?

Like A Monkey Doin' A Math Problem: January 2009
http://wwwmonkeymath.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 29, 2009. Open Wide, Honey! I have to take Pony Girl to the dentist after school today. She went two weeks ago for a regular six-month checkup and everything looked good.EXCEPT. SO, it needs attention. Of the filling sort. Will it need a drill, I asked. No, not exactly, more of a high-pressure water/air scoop tool. How about Novocaine? Well, we can try without but it depends on how sensitive the tooth is. When do you want to do it, the receptionist asked. This is the real deal; the othe...

Don't worry: be happy ;0). Wednesday, February 24, 2010. We are moving to a lighthouse you and I. I'll just hold you tight and we'll not let those @#$ ers in. I'd best get another blog in before the month's end, eh? The usual everything yet nothing has been going on in my life. Maybe point form might be the way to address the past few weeks:. Last night, we went to Lizottes in the old King's Theatre in Lambton to watch the one and only Josh Pyke perform. It was just him and his guitar: no band, bells...

Don't worry: be happy ;0). Thursday, June 25, 2009. I won't hestitate no more, no more, I cannot wait. I'm yours. I am writing this blog (very quickly) from Belmont TAFE Library before it shuts. Thank goodness for free TAFE libraries! Dad only has dial-up at his house, and begrudges you every second that is spent there, so I just don't use his computer. And don't I miss it! He's back at school, so life is back to normal for him. The clean-up continues, but I'm getting there. Stay warm and safe! PoppyKen ...

Don't worry: be happy ;0). Thursday, November 12, 2009. You say, "why": don't ask me why. It's been an unsettled few days here. I've lost track of the order of days. I think that it was Tuesday. Then last night, I received a phone call from my NUM at the hospital in Muswellbrook to tell me that one of my workmates, C, had been brought into the hospital by ambulance, and had died. C was 41years young. But the grief here is palpable. And it will continue for the next few weeks at least. It's so, so sad.

http://blackstonemyst.blogspot.com/2014/07/im-really-not-sure.html
A journal of my life. If you are looking for the poetic, the profound or the insightful you are probably in the wrong place! Tuesday, July 8, 2014. I'm Really Not Sure. Just how much can the human spirit endure before it starts to crumble? I have been fairly resilient over the years. Losing my father devastated me, for a very, very long time. I managed to put the pieces back together, but of course they are never as they once were. I haven't sat up in floods of tears for a very long time. I miss my Dad.

Don't worry: be happy ;0). Tuesday, January 05, 2010. Can I have another piece of chocolate cake? Well, it was for me, anyway. Believe it or not, I spent New Years' Eve at home, on my own, watching DVDs! Beloved and Sboy were at entertaining the crowds in Parramatta, and Vboy was staying at a friend's house. So I entertained myself with "Samson and Delilah", "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" and "The Boat that Rocked". Saturday, we went to see "Avatar". What a great movie! And he was right. We...
