Sunday, March 22, 2009. Actual "Rain" sets back Rainier for Rain. Bummer. Today was the big day to summit the tallest mountain in Orange County. It's a big, long, boring hike that would have. Been good for training. Nonetheless, weather went bad and it would have been pretty dumb to continue on today. Back at home, we have an approximate day to make Rain. Next month, around the 20 th. Sunday, April 26, 2009. Minor feather in the cap today. Had a "OK" time hiking Baldy. The "Ski Hut" trail to the summit is steep and nasty. I was pretty wiped out on this one, but managed to pass just about everyone on the trail. I still am running fat and not in what one would consider seriously athletic condition.
