It's a really fun sport you don't need much of a blast to break them, but the key is movement; it's all about the swing. The sport takes some getting used to, and like anything, the more you practice at it, the better you'll get. You have to shoot where the target is going to be, not where it is, and that's a hard thing to do. The club meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30pm. The boat launch located on Frog Creek is accessible by all members. The property is secured by a locked gate which ensures a safe location to leave your truck and trailor. Frog Creek extends to Stanjikoming Bay on Rainy Lake for excellent bass and walleye fishing. Archery, skeet shooting and rifle and handgun shooting are thriving. Individuals rewarded for conservation, outreach. A Fort Frances outdoors enthusiast has been recognized for his conservation efforts. Jeff Johnston, a member of the Fort Frances Sportsmen‘s Club, was presented with the Gord Blake Memorial Conservation Award at the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters annual Fish and Wildlife conference last week. The conservation award recognizes an individual OFAH member whose efforts have done the most for conservation in the preceding year. By Fort Frances Times.
