Raising. Lovies.
Tuesday, October 2, 2012. We spent the day indoors yesterday. It was hot outside. And for us, we are used to 50-65 degrees. with 65 being way higher than usual. It was 82 degrees! On monday, it was similarly hot and we spent the day out side playing and we played outside into the night. But it wore them out. When they realized it was hot again, they asked to paint. So we all did some painting and it turned into 5 hours straight of painting, pastels, drawing, sketching, etc. Sunday, September 30, 2012.

Flowers: Truffula flowers, hydrangeas, tulips, peonies, daisies, irises, dahlias, coneflower (Echinacea). Raising Lucy
Join us for our daily adventures as we navigate life together as an adoptive family of two. Friday, October 24, 2014. Despite certain days/hours/minutes going painfully slow, the years have gone so very fast (except the third year, still traumatized). Nine years ago I walked down some steps and met the love of my life. Finally the director's wife came up and said it was time to go down and have a short meeting before we met our children. I don't remember much about the meeting. I'm like heck yah! Lots of...

Raising Lucy : The True Story
Bird / Animal Resources. Raising Lucy is the true story of an orphaned baby goose, who was taken in by the Muzik family and raised to her successful return to the wild. It's a story of hope and inspiration whose story is vividly shared in Carol Muzik's colorful images and heart-warming story. Because the Muziks were unable to find the help they needed at the time, Carol now donates 10% of the Raising Lucy proceeds to regional organizations that properly care for orphaned or injured animals. (. The proces...

Raising Lucy the beginning
Raising Lucy the beginning. View my complete profile. Tuesday, April 5, 2011. It's a common story, face book killed the blog. I have to remember that part of why I keep my blog is to provide Lucy with a well documented narration of her young childhood (I imagine I might have to eventually stop broadcasting her life). We've been busy busy busy. Coming down off of spring break, getting ready for weekend visitors, living life! Lucy and her "niece" Nellie the dog had some sunny bonding time. Lucy got an appo...

Raising Macs | Chronicles of "owl" family
Chronicles of owl family. February 3, 2015. Our labour and delivery story started on Monday, January 12. I spent the day before cleaning house, packing a bag and barely coping with the anxiety about the next day. We got up early morning of January 14. And while I had relief from the epidural, we all dozed in and out of sleep for an hour or so. Jon and Yvonne who was our virtual presence, kept us laughing most of the night. Weight: 5 lb 11 oz. Length: 18.5 inches. Head Circumference: 32 cm. Pixie has been...

Raising mad scientists
Exploring science with my kids. Sunday, November 18, 2012. This should have been a big success. Jr scientist E is obsessed with the moon. Every time my computer is out she asks to look at the pictures of the moon in our telescope gallery. And she loves looking at the moon whenever it's out. So I've been excitedly waiting for the moon to be visible at a time when she'd be awake. Monday, November 5, 2012. Sunday, November 4, 2012. Because it's never too late for happily ever after…. 8220;Emma Claire, you look just like your Mother.”. Like, yes, I know. There’s no enthusiasm. And she doesn’t say thank you. I suppose she’s not sure if it’s a compliment or not. She recently told me she’ll probably die. Because I had her when I was old. I tried explaining that it didn’t work that way, but then I stopped. You think I’m old? So maybe she’s not thrilled with the idea of looking like her tired, old mother. But I always fail. And that she ...
