Raising Packo: Instant Pick-Me-Upper
http://raisingpacko.blogspot.com/2013/08/instant-pick-me-upper.html
From single parenthood to freelancing and beyond. Saturday, August 3, 2013. This will be a quick post as we have a few grand visitors coming a thousand miles away from here any minute now. I have been busy again not because of money work but of domestic work that I barely even have time to comb my hair each day (as if I really do, haha). And of course I felt a bit of down because of all the work this week. I want to share with you what-I-call my self-esteem saver, my Revlon 028 Cherry Blossom lipstick.
Raising Packo: How to Put a Toddler to Sleep
http://raisingpacko.blogspot.com/2013/08/how-to-put-toddler-to-sleep.html
From single parenthood to freelancing and beyond. Friday, August 30, 2013. How to Put a Toddler to Sleep. When Packo had his last immunization and check-up for this year yesterday, Dra. Leonila Dans reminded me for the nth time not to use my breasts as his pacifier. She knew I'm guilty as charged. He is a comfort nurser while I find it most convenient if he just nurse till he falls asleep. It simply works for both of us. He's turning 2 in a month. Most children should sleep on their own at his age. When ...
Raising Packo: July 2014
http://raisingpacko.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
From single parenthood to freelancing and beyond. Friday, July 4, 2014. Oh, How I Wish. It's a bit sad how our neighborhood, or let me say the whole country, lacks a pleasant place for kids to play in. Kung meron tayo neto I'm sure lahat ng bata dun na magdamag. Haha! Can you spot him? I'm dreaming of one day every neighborhood, or block perhaps, will have a play ground as nice as these! I bet if we have one of these around, we'll spend as much of our free time there too. Raising Packo: November 2013
http://raisingpacko.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
From single parenthood to freelancing and beyond. Saturday, November 23, 2013. Christmas and the Aftermath. Watching the aftermath of the tragedies that hit Visayas breaks my heart. It was October 15 when an earthquake with a 7.2 magnitude shook Bohol and less than a month later Typhoon Haiyan almost washed Central Visayas out. And amazingly people from around the world acted so fast; donating, organizing charitable auctions/ plays/ concerts/ dinners, sending medical aid, lending transportation vehicles a...

Finding Yogurt: About me
http://findingyogurt.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html
A lot of people know me as Eddy. At school work but friends at church and family call me Queenie. I've been blogging since 2007 but multiply shutdown and I had to start a new one. I chose blogger because it's run by Google. It may not be as popular as WordPress but I like it. Those who know me well find me 'candid' and so are the topics that you would read from this blog. I want to write "anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report, or praiseworthy.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The best is yet to come.
Finding Yogurt: NSO-Certified Marriage Contract
http://findingyogurt.blogspot.com/2012/03/nso-certified-marriage-contract.html
I went to NSO today (National Statistics Office) to get a certified copy of my marriage certificate. I needed that to change my status in SSS (Social Security System). SSS did not honor the original copy of my marriage contract because it did not have validation from the registrar's office which is in Quezon City. I was adviced to have it certified by the registrar or get a copy from NSO. I arrived at around 2.35 pm. These are the steps I took to get my marriage certificate:. Date and place of marriage.

Gift for Easter: Adult Coloring Page. A lot of things happened since I went radio silent:. 1 Gave birth to a baby boy. 2 Moved to a new city after 3 weeks post partum. 3 Ridiculed by most of passengers on our flight. There was but one person. Who assured that he was okay with our daughter crying, and he was Japanese. 4 Survived a week without most of our belongings but:. 2 single-sized bed foams. 5 Got an internet connection after a month. 6 Survived (still now) taking care of 2 children by myself. A lot...

Finding Yogurt: PREGNANCY: Toothache
http://findingyogurt.blogspot.com/2014/11/toothache-and-pregnancy.html
I'm writing this because I suffered from toothache for almost 2 weeks, just every night, but now I'm FREE! I know technology in the Philippines is not that advanced and so you encounter obstetricians who do not recommend you to have your aching tooth/teeth treated by a dentist. It's so strange because when you read forums from other countries, pregnant women can have temporary fillings and even extractions. I know it's safe to use paracetamol but researches relating it to infant illnesses are still going...
Finding Yogurt: Handmade Dollmaking
http://findingyogurt.blogspot.com/2015/08/handmade-dollmaking.html
It was my goal to open my online shop when my 2nd child turns 6 months old. And I hit it! The doll doesn't look appealing to moms who are advocates of Waldorf education though. I am often asked if I can make some alterations to the doll's face to accomodate their preference. I'm very new to the handmade industry in the Philippines and I don't have a big network, so I'm super newbie. Good luck to me. Find littlemeridolls on instagram and facebook ;). What do you think? Finding Yogurt: DIY/Review Spray Adhesive with Glitter Shoes
http://findingyogurt.blogspot.com/2013/09/diyreview-spray-adhesive-with-glitter.html
DIY/Review Spray Adhesive with Glitter Shoes. I love CRIB COUTURE. It's a local brand of baby apparel. I buy my daughter Geo's socks there. They offer unique designs which are not available all year round so definitely it's pure destiny if you see a baby wearing the same as your child's. Crib couture doesn't just have unique apparel designs, their products aren't pricey either and available in most SM malls. Below is a pair of shoes which I bought at only P149.00. I sprayed about 3-4 layers until I was s...

Navigating life with a former micro preemie…. Evan’s NICU Battle. What is a micro preemie? March 14, 2015. I know that I am long overdue on an update on Evan, but this post is going to be about me. I first touched on this topic in my Confessions of a Special Needs Mom. Blog post, but I haven’t continued what I had set out to do with that post. So, here goes round 2. Cross-sectional analyses indicated that parents of a child with special care needs reported poorer self-rated mental health, greater depress...

Raising Pagan Children
Sunday, August 1, 2010. It is Lammastide once again and that means different things to different pagan families. Some- especially those who follow the Celtic traditions- call it Lughnasadh, a celebration of the Celtic craftsman god, Lugh. It is also called First Fruits, the first of the three harvest celebrations and my favorite time of year. I checked my next door neighbor's fig tree this morning, certain that the figs would be ready but they are still very green. No figs for dinner either! That questio...

Raising Paityn
November 13, 2012. Adoption Blogger Interview Project. It reminded me, once again, that the story of adoption is usually presented as a beautiful one. A child is rescued and given to a grateful couple who go on to be wonderfully marvelous parents and they raise the child into a wonderfully marvelous human being. Adoption, though, isn't a fairy tale, and sometimes, the brokenness it causes never heals enough to allow the broken to become whole again. Denise shares her story on her blog, write-o-holic.
