Raising Seedlings: October 2013

http://raisingseedlings.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Dawns Woolly World Shop. Wednesday, 2 October 2013. Busy September Spinning and Knitting. I had been knitting away on a special gift for my daughter for her 8th birthday, only able to do on evenings after she was in bed, and occasionally hidden under a cushion if she came back downstairs for something! So here is her knitted Harry Potter, I am very pleased with how it came out and she loves him too. A list of other characters is being drawn up! I discovered that the clip holding it on had come off and wa...

Knit sew hooked: December 2011

http://crafty-or-dafty.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

10 things about me. Monday, 12 December 2011. Although the laptop issues are back! And even worse than all of that - I've lost all my bookmarks! In the meantime I have done a little knitting. I'm so glad I started late October as I am running out of time now and the days are filled with lots of crafting of a different kind, take a peek at the other blog. If you want to know more! I finally finished this little set for the littlest girlie after a mini rant at the mittens that wouldn't turn out right:.

Knit sew hooked: It's not SSS, honest!

http://crafty-or-dafty.blogspot.com/2013/02/its-not-sss-honest.html

10 things about me. Monday, 18 February 2013. It's not SSS, honest! Second sock syndrome - do you suffer with it? I finished up the first of the Old Joe socks over the weekend. And immediately cast on.something different! Not going to reveal what just yet, maybe you can guess:. The reverse side, very pretty tight stitch. The right side, much loopier when gently stretched. This is more like it's true colour. Love this texture, wouldn't it be great in silver yarn? A perfect chain mail singlet for dressing up.

Knit sew hooked: Hmmmm.....

http://crafty-or-dafty.blogspot.com/2013/02/hmmmm.html

10 things about me. Friday, 22 February 2013. Not a lot of crafting going on around here! Elastibaby is now developing into velcrobaby. You know elastibaby stage right? The one where you have that invisible elastic band that connects you both? The bands fine when you're both together. You can stretch it a little and pass baby to someone else, maybe even pop into another room? Oh and I've updated my bloglist - see it over there on the left? Anyway, got to go, velcrobaby has noticed the separation. Hi Beck...

oak before ash: beside the sea

http://oakbeforeash.blogspot.com/2013/10/beside-sea.html

Saturday, 26 October 2013. It's been ages since I've been in this space. Where have I been this time? Well I've been awarded a bursary from b-side (the arts company who delivered the cultural Olympiad in Weymouth and Portland in 2012) to develop my textile work. Exciting huh? So after Somerset Art Weeks and my last ceramics exhibition I spent a week on Portland meeting other artists and attending the b-side symposium. oak before ash: celebrations

http://oakbeforeash.blogspot.com/2013/06/celebrations.html

Monday, 17 June 2013. Recently there has been the busy mix of my youngest turning 4, (4! How did that happen? Father's Day and lots of busy family stuff in between. Both of these special days were celebrated with a trip to Swanage. On the steam train, armed with buckets and spades and high hopes for the sun to stay out. The sun did did us proud, going by train made it even more special and now we're finding piles of sand everywhere - we seem to have brought an awful lot of Swanage home this trip! Another...

Raising Schuurmans

Follow our journey of serving the Lord and raising a family. Thursday, August 13, 2015. Stella is now 5 weeks old and sleeping through the night like a champ! She slept 8.5 hours last night! She doesn't do this every night, but she goes 6 hours (minimum) each night and last night was the longest she's slept in one stretch since birth. It was glorious! Marcus is her protector and tends to her every cry. If we are letting her cry it out to go to sleep, he'll say, "have you started the timer? Introducing St...
