Raising Spiderlings: June 2009

http://raisingspiderlings.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

This blog will follow the raising and development of two wee spiderlings. They are a Brachypelma smithi (Mexican Red Knee), and a Cyclosternum fasciatum (Costa Rican Tiger Rump) :). Thursday, 4 June 2009. Here is my Red Knee about a week ago. He's becoming really active now and has a done a little more burrowing. The Tiger Rump is also doing a lot more now, yesterday when I fed him he started to build a web for his food which was awesome. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Links I find useful.

Raising Spiderlings: Doing Well

http://raisingspiderlings.blogspot.com/2009/05/doing-well.html

This blog will follow the raising and development of two wee spiderlings. They are a Brachypelma smithi (Mexican Red Knee), and a Cyclosternum fasciatum (Costa Rican Tiger Rump) :). Sunday, 24 May 2009. Sorry for the lack of news lately, but I have been stupidly busy during these last weeks as I have my final hand in for my photography degree tomorrow! Nobody has moulted again, but I suspect Tiger Rump has moulted but it's either hidden in the substrate or he ate it. I will get some photos up soon :).

This blog will follow the raising and development of two wee spiderlings. They are a Brachypelma smithi (Mexican Red Knee), and a Cyclosternum fasciatum (Costa Rican Tiger Rump) :). Thursday, 23 April 2009. B Smithi Sucessfully Fed! Five nights after moulting, Red Knee was offered a cricket and he ate it straight away! As he didn't eat at all with me prior to his moult, it is really pleasing to see him eat and act as normal! I'll probably give him another one tomorrow. Sunday, 19 April 2009. Wednesday, 8...

The Spiderling Project: April 2009

http://the-spiderling-project.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Hello everyone, and welcome to The Spiderling Project – a blog designed by me to detail the trials and tribulations that I will be going through as I try to raise a number of spiderlings through to adulthood. Monday, 20 April 2009. So I was doing my feeding rounds this evening and I have found three more moults! Although in truth it wasn't as easy as that! First up was the Nhandu, and Jesus did she give me a scare! Anyway, I then proceeded to dig out the other two, and both of them are massive! I dug the...

Hello everyone, and welcome to The Spiderling Project – a blog designed by me to detail the trials and tribulations that I will be going through as I try to raise a number of spiderlings through to adulthood. Wednesday, 11 August 2010. Once again, I am back and I find myself apologising for not posting in several months. Truth be told though, there really hasn’t been much to report. Moults are really slowing down now, I’m lucky if I get five in a month! My Dad couldn’t wait for my sling to grow up! Every...

Also chucked in a handful of my sub-adults that I took pictures of as well as an ever willing G.rosea. Ok, this is the last one!

Hello everyone, and welcome to The Spiderling Project – a blog designed by me to detail the trials and tribulations that I will be going through as I try to raise a number of spiderlings through to adulthood. Monday, 25 May 2009. Well, it seems everything in my care is coming round to moult! Today it was the turn of the Nhandu chromatus and Euathlus vulpinus. The lucky sling is an Avicularia sp. Hello everyone, and welcome to The Spiderling Project – a blog designed by me to detail the trials and tribulations that I will be going through as I try to raise a number of spiderlings through to adulthood. Monday, 7 December 2009. Contrary to my last but one post stating that I was not going to be getting any more T’s, I have! I’ve also been practicing some different methods of photo taking so there may be some other photos as well! An interesting fact for you all though! Gpulchra is just eating and e...

Hello everyone, and welcome to The Spiderling Project – a blog designed by me to detail the trials and tribulations that I will be going through as I try to raise a number of spiderlings through to adulthood. Saturday, 28 March 2009. I managed to get some pictures taken this morning of all the new arrivals apart from the Avicularia purpurea. Which seems to like living on the lid of it's enclosure. Never mind, I'm sure I will have plenty of opportunities to photo it again! Friday, 27 March 2009. It spend ...

Hello everyone, and welcome to The Spiderling Project – a blog designed by me to detail the trials and tribulations that I will be going through as I try to raise a number of spiderlings through to adulthood. Friday, 11 December 2009. Ok, this is the last one! And I mean it this time. However, I think you will all understand. A couple of weeks ago, a guy on RFUK was selling some Captive Bred Theraphosa apophysis. Since then, as mentioned in a previous blog post, I acquired a wild caught Theraphosa blondi.
