Raising Whittaker

Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Saturday, December 31, 2016. Thursday, December 29, 2016. It seems like I just celebrated Christmas while super pregnant - waddling around, stuffing my face and looking forward to our Peanut's arrival the next month. Fast forward a year and we celebrated our first Christmas as family of three! Hadley also got to experience her first snow (and negative zero temps! She was not too sure how she felt about the snow, but I'm sure she will love it when she's a bit older. This year we ...

Raising Whittaker : October 2016

http://raisingwhittaker.blogspot.com/2016_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 20, 2016. Happy Anniversary to my favorite guy! Wednesday, October 19, 2016. October continues to fly by as we have fun with our little Pumpkin. We enjoyed our visit with Robyn at the beginning of the month and Jason's dad came to stay for more than a week. It's so nice to have people come to visit and I know Hadley loves it. We had our family photo shoot earlier in the month and I love some of the shots. Friday, October 7, 2016. I was horrible and didn't get any pics of the two of them...

Raising Whittaker : January 2016

http://raisingwhittaker.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Member Spotlight at 37 Weeks. This month is flying by and time quickly got away from me. I realized I hadn't provided a 37 Week update (we are actually 38 weeks now, but that update will come later this week! On the 12th, we were 37 weeks and officially considered "full-term" - which is crazy to think about! At 37 weeks, Peanut:. Is likely around 6 lbs. and 19 inches long (though I’d be okay if she doesn’t get any bigger! Is about the size of a honeydew melon or a skunk! We hav...

Raising Whittaker : August 2016

http://raisingwhittaker.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 22, 2016. And just like that, another month has flown by and Hadley is now 7 months old! It is so crazy that she has been here for 7 months. Most days I can't remember my life without her in it, but I also feel like I just had her yesterday! At seven months, Hadley:. Continues to be happy and easy going almost all of the time (seriously - we sometimes go days without hearing her cry! Drools a lot, but so far has no teeth. Babbles a lot and laughs easily. But the girls were great and had fu...

Raising Whittaker : September 2016

http://raisingwhittaker.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 22, 2016. How has another month gone by? This month seemed to go faster than others and I think it's because Jason has started traveling again. He was out of town for two weeks and those weeks were very busy for me and Hadley and I think the time just flew by. Luckily, she has seemed to adjust very well to him being out of town and she was her same easy going, happy self when it was just the two of us. And today we mark 8 months! What a fun time it has been. At 8 months, Hadley:.

Raising Whittaker : December 2016

Saturday, December 31, 2016. Thursday, December 29, 2016. It seems like I just celebrated Christmas while super pregnant - waddling around, stuffing my face and looking forward to our Peanut's arrival the next month. Fast forward a year and we celebrated our first Christmas as family of three! In an effort to get into the holiday spirit, I made sure Hadley wore some of the cute outfits she has from her godmother. I just love this one and she got so many compliments on the leggings and vest. This year we ...

a mom's view: November 2014

http://amomspointofview.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 26, 2014. We have had an exciting Thanksgiving break so far. Saturday we had errands that needed to be taken care of and then had friends over that evening for dinner. We decided to bite the bullet and go ahead and buy a new one. We knew mostly what we wanted because we did a lot of research on them last year. So that night we placed our order. Since the kids were disappointed with our zebra tree we decided to let them go ahead and get their trees put up in their rooms. After Target w...

a mom's view: May 2015

http://amomspointofview.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Friday, May 15, 2015. Some of my favorite things he says:. Muah Hugs: Kisses and hugs; If he doesn't give kisses and hugs to one of us before bed time, he will cry while saying "muah hugs Daddy". HoleJew": Hold you; this has to be my favorite! He says this when he wants to be picked up. I remember when Reese was little and we had a friend whose daughter would say this and I thought it was the cutest thing. The first time Hayes said that I died from the sweetness. There is no doubt that God put curls on h...

http://amomspointofview.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 16, 2014. Two Wheels and an Open Road. Last summer we bought Reese a new bike for her birthday. She would never ride her old bike and we thought a new one would do the trick. Well it didn’t. She still said she didn’t like riding her bike. We tried and we tried but nothing worked. For what ever reason, yesterday Reese and Lance decided to take the training wheels off her bike so she could learn to ride it. Check out this big smile…. Wednesday, June 11, 2014. On Memorial Day we met some friend...

a mom's view: About Sam

http://amomspointofview.blogspot.com/2015/08/about-sam.html

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Sam's teacher gave the parents homework the first week of school. She asked us to tell her "about your child in a million words or less". I wanted to remember what I told her so I am going to put it here for memory sake. He is an early riser…like 6:00 AM. It used to be earlier but we had to make a 6:00 AM rule for him. Once he is up…he is up and ready to face the day…or play on an old iPhone. He is a true middle child. He is a homebody. He is a loving friend. We have two kitten...

a mom's view: September 2014

http://amomspointofview.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 26, 2014. Our final day was spent in Hollywood Studios. We were up with the sun that morning to get to breakfast at Hollywood and Vine. Hollywood and Vine has all of the Disney Junior characters like Sofia, Doc McStuffins, Jake, and Handy Manny. Again, Reese was excited to see them all but the boys were not so much. As soon as breakfast was over we headed to the Star Tours ride. Lance took the big kids on while I waited for Claire, Bryan, and Hadley to meet up with us again. Then we wen...

http://amomspointofview.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 29, 2015. Today Sam’s school had Donuts with Dad. Sam is always so excited for days like this. He, once again. Matched Daddy in clothes that he was wearing. It is so cute! This year Sam was much more willing to talk to Lance while he was there and even showed him around his classroom. They made their daddies ties and answered questions about their dads. Sam said Lance is 1000 feet tall and weighs four pounds. Saturday, January 24, 2015. These three I loved of each of the kids. On Tuesda...

http://amomspointofview.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 17, 2014. Life with Sam has still been fun lately. He is still just as sweet as ever. However, he has started to test the boundaries on things he can say. A friend described it perfectly the other day as “lippy”. 8221;…thank goodness. I told them no kissing for a long time! After the ceremony was the reception where Reese was teaching them how to slow dance. Oh my! Luckily Joci’s parents got here quickly. I can’t believe Sam is going to be five in less than a month! This is the quietest a...

a mom's view: Ten Years

http://amomspointofview.blogspot.com/2015/02/ten-years.html

Thursday, February 19, 2015. Today, Lance and I have been married for TEN years. Time really flies! One year in…Lance wanted to know what it would look like to shave his entire head with a straight razor so he did it right before we left for a cruise. Needless to say, that hair-do has never come back. Two years in…pregnant with Reese. Quite honestly, there are no more pictures of us alone for a long time after this last picture. Ha! And here we are ten years later! And just for a little comparison….

http://amomspointofview.blogspot.com/2015/03/life-lately.html

Thursday, March 19, 2015. Hayes started taking gymnastics. It has taken him several weeks to get comfortable with going out on the floor with out me. Each week I have to walk him out there and he will just stand on the edge of where his teacher is and watch. I am hoping soon he will just run right out to her. Hayes LOVES dogs. Every time we are at Claire’s house he wants to hold them. Baseball has started back! Sam is really enjoying it and doing really well! Reese and I got to serve at a Women’s S...

a mom's view: Counting Down

http://amomspointofview.blogspot.com/2015/04/counting-down.html

Thursday, April 16, 2015. Our summer countdown has officially started. Having last week off for spring break really got us in the mood for summer. Easter Morning the kids woke up to some rain boots and a book in their Easter Baskets. The Easter bunny decided to leave all the candy at Gigi’s house this year. We quickly got ready and headed to church again because Lance and I were serving that morning. This is the best we could do…. Granddaddy and Papa with these crazy kids. And boy did they all have fun!

Raising Wild Ones

The joys (and unexpected frustrations) of raising children. July 10, 2015. Anybody who has children will completely relate to most everything in this post. While children are amazing and I love them with all my heart, it can be extremely difficult sometimes! Not in the sense that you dislike your children, by any means, but more of the fact that you cannot believe what just happened. First of all, we just bought a new computer from Dell. Super helpful post and it will allow my computer to start running h...
