Writers of Rohan: Well, That Was Traumatic
http://www.jaredandmary.com/2015/03/well-that-was-traumatic.html
Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Well, That Was Traumatic. It started with a cat. We’ve been having some pretty nice spring weather lately; on Wednesday afternoon, Timothy decided to go out on the deck after school and enjoy some sunshine. What he didn’t plan on was a cat that knocked the dowel back into the sliding glass door track, effectively locking him outside. He replied, “Good. You can take Sarah to the E.R.”. We trundled off to the E.R. at around 7 pm They ...Sarah...

Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, January 18, 2015. Here is part two of our Christmas day. We spent the day with the Lawrence family, and enjoyed the new remodeling of Richard and Suzanne’s home in Brigham City. Fortunately the weather was wet, but not too bad on the drive. We chatted and played some before dinner. And we all fit in the dining room, if only barely. After dinner, many of the grandkids went outside to play in the snow, of which there was plenty. And some other moments. She w...

Writers of Rohan: November 2014

Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, November 30, 2014. I’ll preface this by saying that this happened at the beginning of September. (But it resembles my life today with some similarities, but more on that later.). And that’s when I found his head wound. And the blood on the floor and her bed. His head was tender for a few days, but he is just fine. I can see a little spot on his head where the scab was and where there isn’t as much hair, but that is all that remains. 8221; (a slightly modif...

Writers of Rohan: The Little Things
http://www.jaredandmary.com/2015/06/the-little-things.html
Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Really, it is the little things that make one happy, and in this instance, it was the little things that drove me crazy. This is how my pantry was set up when we moved in. (Minus a few more layers of that floral covering stuff that was on all the shelves at one point. I may have ripped some of it off.). Jared looked at the shelves, did some planning and measurements, and came up with an alternative. If you look closely, you can see that s...

Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, March 8, 2015. The Letter that Ran Away. So, I had plans. Really. Will you ever forgive me? As a belated peace offering, I present our 2014 Christmas letter. This is what I would have sent to you if I’d actually gotten my act together. Ah well. There’s always this year. Posted by Marydalene Lawrence. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A change to the Olympics. John and Kathy's Rantings. Happy Birthday, JJ. There I was minding my own business. Gotta Just L...

Writers of Rohan: December 2014
http://www.jaredandmary.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. One of the fun things about living where we do is that we are close to BYU, and we can go to fun things like the BYU Homecoming Parade. So on this October morning, we found a little spot on the side of the road, and waited for the parade to start. Apparently 5K runners are very interesting to look at, or at least distracting. But not as fun as playing with Daddy. Sarah wanted in on the fun times, too. This kid. I love his smile. Ooooooo...

Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, May 17, 2015. My Sacrament Meeting Talk. I was asked to give a talk in the April 19 Sacrament Meeting in my ward. I thought I’d post it up here just for fun. I, of course, only. Repentance: A (Somewhat) Journalistic Approach. There are a couple of “who” questions that I would like to address. The first is “Who needs to repent? Who needs to repent? We can answer this question by turning to the scriptures. In Romans chapter 3 verse 23 we read:. 10 Behold I s...

Jared and Mary muse about everyday life. Sunday, June 22, 2014. Let me preface this post by saying that I think that sixth-grade graduations are on par with kindergarten graduations. Pretty much useless. But . We came (as well as both sets of grandparents). We listened (it was short and sweet). And we ate (they held a barbecue lunch after). Timothy had fun with his friends, and we supported our son. And yes, Ryan still has blue eyes. I love that kid. And here is his class. Most of these students he h...
