Tuesday, May 11, 2010. I'm a delinquent poster: Quick update on the Helm household :). I have been meaning to update our blog for a while now, and when I sit down in the evenings, I just plain forget or fall asleep on the couch.ha! I have a few updates from the Helm gang, so I wanted to post these before even more time passes:. 1 Phil is done for the semester.yippee! What to do.what to do? 3 Samantha is doing GREAT in the toddler room. She has taken a few steps in the class by herself! 8 Mother's day was...

Tuesday, April 27, 2010. We have a toddler on our hands! Once her big cupcake came into view, she became a happy baby! Overall, Sam is a delicate eater.not usually messy, and in general a picky eater that plays with her food. We weren't expecting much in the way of cake throwing and smearing.a one-finger poke was my bet! We felt so bad. The good news is that they split the shots up and she now gets the second set at 15 months instead of five at the one year visit (thank goodness! In other news, Phil's ex...

Sunday, February 27, 2011. A sneak peak into our big girl's room. Over the past month or so, we have been working toward finishing Samantha's new "big girl" room.We will be officially moving her out of her nursery she's been in for almost two years into what used to be our guest room. For now, her nursery is a mixture of Samantha and little boy decorations. On a different note, I have not heard anything back about my glucose test, so I know that I passed.yippee! Well, time to get off the computer and sta...

Friday, December 18, 2009. All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth. Samantha's wish is coming true :) Her top two teeth have started to make their decent. So now she will have her two front, bottom teeth and her top two. She's growing up so quickly! She was bothered by it initially, but not much now. This past weekend Mimi and Poppy (Ruthie and Randy) came down to see us from Illinois. They drove a long way to come see us and we are so GLAD! I'll take some photos to share! Sunday, December 6, 2009.

Sunday, January 31, 2010. January snow and other fun January things! This weekend brought a snowstorm to Raleigh.although we were home bound for a while, we had a lot of fun as a family. During the work week, Phil and I don't get to see Samantha a lot, so it's such a joy to spend the weekends with her.and having the snow made this one feel all the more exciting and special. I think she would have enjoyed sledding, but I think I'm too overly cautious since she's only nine months. Tuesday, January 19, 2010.

Wednesday, May 25, 2011. KB's birthday is less than 48 hours away! I can hardly believe it. Phil reminded me today (on my vacation day) that I had not updated the blog in four weeks. Yikes! I swear it seems like I just did it yesterday. So today, I took a few photos of KB's room, as it's as pulled together as it's going to be before he arrives on Friday! So I say we are well on our way to meeting our son on Friday! We are very excited! It's been very hard for me to keep that a secret :-). PSI've added on...

Things are going well with us all, despite lack of sleep.Jackson is a wonderful baby and Samantha loves him a lot! We are dealing with a little bit of acting out with Samantha, but all in all, she's doing great. We do hear "no" a lot, but that's part of being two, right? We had Jackson's 3 week doctor visit this morning. He did GREAT! Jackso...
