Friday, September 30, 2011. Our father, Ralph Lee Tingey, M.D., the patriarch of our clan, died June 6, 2003. The reunion idea took off, and we enjoyed each other so much, that it has become an annual event, with the cast changing slightly as new grand-children come into the picture, or students, missionaries, or newlyweds miss the event for a year. This year our niece, Liz, married Jason, who brought his children to meet all the new relatives. Jason strides by Sarah. The bike racers: Erica and John.

Monday, April 11, 2011. Next, I hand-cut a dovetail joints in the corners of 3" boards for the base trim, glued it to the box, and beveled the top so it wouldn't have a sharp edge. A small piece of walnut has been sitting in my little scrap box, so I planed it into a rhomboid handle, glued it on the front of the lid so it would be easier to lift.
