A Life in 5 Meals | ramblingrectorbensham

https://ramblingrectorbensham.wordpress.com/2015/07/25/a-life-in-5-meals

She walks, she talks, she administers the sacraments. A Life in 5 Meals. Asymp; 4 Comments. The way John tells the story you know John, the one who wrote the Gospel anyway, the way he talks about the life of Jesus, it was a life in five meals, five extraordinary meals, each memorable and significant in different ways. It was an act of love, a sacrifice of thanksgiving. We could only watch while she showed such love and tenderness, thanking him, the Master, for her brother’s life. Larr; Previous post.

Jesus Calms the Storm | ramblingrectorbensham

https://ramblingrectorbensham.wordpress.com/2015/06/20/jesus-calms-the-storm

She walks, she talks, she administers the sacraments. Jesus Calms the Storm. Asymp; 1 Comment. Today’s story is about a storm at sea. Jesus told the wind and waves to calm down. It makes us thinks about the storms in our lives and how Jesus can bring peace. Read the stories or ask someone to read them to you. What do the pictures tell you about the story? Pinning photos on the photo tree. If you have been before, find your picture, put your name on the back and today’s date, and then clip it to the tree.

Who is God? | ramblingrectorbensham

She walks, she talks, she administers the sacraments. Asymp; 2 Comments. I’ve been thinking about names. Margaret means pearl it comes from the Greek. It is the word that Jesus uses in the story about the pearl of great price, and I love that connection. And it’s the same for you different people know you by different names. The names carry different associations for you and those who know you. And your name has meaning, sometimes several meanings. It may depend, to some extent, on how you experienced yo...

Here is your King | ramblingrectorbensham

https://ramblingrectorbensham.wordpress.com/2015/04/03/here-is-your-king

She walks, she talks, she administers the sacraments. Here is your King. Asymp; Leave a comment. Jesus is arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane. He is taken from there to the religious leaders, who question him vigorously. They do not have the power to execute Jesus, so they send him to the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate. The way John tells the story, the first question Pilate asks Jesus is Are you the king of the Jews? When Pilate asks Jesus, Are you the king of the Jews? Pilate goes back to the Jewish l...

Not just Free Food | ramblingrectorbensham

https://ramblingrectorbensham.wordpress.com/2015/08/01/not-just-free-food

She walks, she talks, she administers the sacraments. Not just Free Food. Asymp; 2 Comments. What was the best meal you ever ate? A great celebration feast in a posh restaurant? Tasting something new that blew your mind? Eating something simple that was beautifully cooked? A simple meal when you had been working hard and were very hungry? Food is essential to our lives: it nurtures us and keeps us alive, it gives us pleasure, it is central to our celebrations, it is a key way in which we show hospitality.

She walks, she talks, she administers the sacraments. Who do you think you are? Asymp; Leave a comment. Do you ever watch Who do you think you are on the television? There was a man came to church this week, wanting to know about a grandfather by the name of Farrimond who lived on Whitehall Road and died in the 1980s.
