Why isn't there a scholarship for slackers? Camping with My Babies. I took her out in the woods and helped her squat to pee (she's a natural) and then we got their pajamas on and crawled into bed. They were both out in 10 minutes. Saturday we got up to a breakfast of donuts. Packed lunch and hit the trails. Marc has been off road a lot since he was 2 so this was pretty old hat for him. He spent most of the day in the back seat playing PSP but he had fun too. At camp the kids were incredibly well behaved&...

Why isn't there a scholarship for slackers? Marc came into my office the other day after school. As he was unpacking his back pack he said "Hey dad, wanna see my evil rectange? He then pulled out an index card folded into a 3D rectange. "See, it's evil, it even has teeth! Sure enough he had added teeth. Today he was cleaning out his bag and pulled out 5 pictures all labeled "farting robot." I asked, did you shar ethese with your teacher? His exact words, he's such a funny kid.). Me: What's so funny?

Why isn't there a scholarship for slackers? That was a crazy game of poker. Today was soooo fun. Next we headed up to Mr. Bad Hair's plaza and cashed in our casino coupon. To our surprise they handed us each a $20 bill. Awesome! Afterward we wasted $20 or so each on penny slots and I had 2 more free drinks. All in all, I came out about even. A whole day of play in AC, bus ride, drinks, and lunch cost me a grand total of nothing. Not bad for an awfully fun day. Posted by Exvestigator at 9:17 PM. Ramblings...

Why isn't there a scholarship for slackers? I love being my daughter's daddy. She's gone from a beautiful crying pooping lump to a beautiful little lady. She puts on her glasses and picks out her clothes in the morning (sometimes they even match! She goes to nursery school, she tells me about her day when she gets home, and she makes decisions like what she wants for dinner and what to watch on TV. Life is pretty good. Why isn't there a scholarship for slackers? Yesterday I read a poker tip from a brilliant psychologist and professional poker player named Mike Caro. The tip was: "What you already have invested in the pot. doesn't matter.". In poker it is the concept that you should fold, call, or bet based on the size of the pot, what cards you have, what you think your opponents have, and the chances of improving your hand, not based on how much money you personally put into the pot. Think about that for a second.

Why isn't there a scholarship for slackers? I have a real niece now. My brother Andy and his wife had their daughter last night. Jen did great and the baby is so cute. Amy came in this morning and said how's it feel to have a real niece. I thought that was a funny. I married into most of my other nieces and nephews. Congrats Andy and Jen. Posted by Exvestigator at 9:32 PM. But now I proportionate again. Tonight, one night before the deadline, I hit my goal. Although I'm wearing the same pants siz...East ...

Why isn't there a scholarship for slackers? ECXC is the East Coast Xterra Challenge. It's my big Xterra trip of the year and I've taken Marc for the past 4 years. This year we arrived Thursday night to a much nicer campground then we usually stay at. It had a nice creek flowing beside it with a rope swing, a bath house, and a well stocked camp store. We both drove through some rock gardens the rest of our group went around and did some fun obstacles. Not me but we did this trail! I thought after that our...

Every Wrong Move: June 2005

A few weeks ago, in a moment of total frustration, I proclaimed to my family that I was sorry I wasn't perfect. My son told me, "Mom, you are perfect enough." That is my new mantra. Tuesday, June 14, 2005. I have to say, though - it is nice to be a teenager over the age of 21 with my own house. It sure makes drinking with my friends much easier!
