http://www.firewoodpizza.com/results.html
My first attempt at a Pizza on Saturday was a miserable failure, the oven was not hot enough so they took almost 15 minutes to cook, I found out that you HAVE to wait until the oven dome turns ashen white before you can even think it might be hot enough. I also had problems with the peels and shoved a pizza into the ash, then dropped one on the ground.bad bad day. On to better times :). What a great tool.I split enough for the next days fire and throw it in the oven at the end of the day to dry it ou...

As all my friends know I am quite a bread-aholic and even though this oven purchase took several weeks of talking about it with my wife it was still a impulse buy and one that I am not yet sorry for. Back in June 2002, I think, Laurie (my wife) got me a monthly magazine that was doing a special on grilling, in it was a single picture of a Medio oven by Mugnaini. So after 2 weeks after asking my wife for that magazin...

Now the cross bars are welded to the angle iron, unlike my old oven where I welded the rebar before finding out that its not a good idea, this time I will tie the rebar properly. Again, the 45degree corners are just so I don't break my toes walking around the yard, that is the back of the oven which is round.

The Saturday Team.Tad and my Wife and the Dogs derriere behind them. Oh yeah, I am taking the picture so I am not in it, but trust me I am part of the team. The slab is 54 x 59 1/2. Tad suggested pilons at the corners to get a better bite to the ground, I had read about that and thought it was a great idea. The holes are 12 deep at each corner. The rebar was welded together, I later found out that is bad and it should be tied. 47 Blocks and 8 1/2 Blocks and 4 Bags of 50lb. Mortar. More of the form for th...
