Listen to earthquakes detected worldwide over the past 24 hours. Sounds generated by seismic activity. Geographic information of an event is used to procedurally generate sounds. They also determine the position of the visuals on the screen. The visuals and sounds are controlled by a number of data points related to each earthquake event. The depth changes the pitch of the note while the magnitude influences the radius of the circle. Mapping events to sound. P5js and p5.sound.

Sound Vision was a collaboration between VICE and the Sydney Opera house, with support from Samsung. The event saw music and visual artists work together and create immersive live experiences. An application running on six tablets. The control surfaces were implemented in the form of an Android application running on six Galaxy Tab 2 tablets. Artists will use the application to control the live audio and visual performance.

I made this in Processing.js for a design brief as a generative design/artwork for one of assignments in university. The final design achieves balance by constraining the canvas, limiting the type of movement and associating each type of motion with a particular colour. A standardised colour palette.

EyeJack is an Augmented Reality App and platform that specialises in the curation and distribution of augmented art. I implemented the design for the EyeJack Shopify store. Storefront for AR art. The store allows users to purchase the Prosthetic Reality art book, and other AR art prints. The design is responsive and scales depending on the screen size. Tailored in-app web views. HTML, CSS/Sass, Javascript.
Wellness Shirt — Ramkumar Shankar

The goal was to develop and implement a circuit for a wearable device. This circuit that can be sewn on to clothing such as undershirts to monitor one’s posture and physical activity, focusing on back posture, deep breathing and simple activity tracking. Sewed the components on the shirt. Despite the planning, we had to move some things around to avoid multiple strands of thread overlapping. In the final version, the LED is closer to the Lilypad, rather than on the sleeve.
