http://alicethompson.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 24, 2008. Yesterday was a glorious one- Even the weather cooperated- it was a beautiful sunny Easter Day. In our church, Immanual Baptist, Elgin, we had the organ, trumpet, and choir-as festive as we could make it. José sang (In Spanish) "The Via Dolorosa" while pictures of Jesus carrying the cross and being crucified and buried, and ending with an empty tomb! I had the privilege of walking that sad journey when I visited the Holy Land years ago. it was a very moving experience. And, throug...

http://alicethompson.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 29, 2007. Happy New Year from Alice. And the meal was superb. I didn't have to do a thing! Everyone else did all the work. Now, we look forward to the New Year. Once again, we say, "Where did 2007 go? Time keeps marching on, and we come closer and closer to the time when we will be at home with our Lord. Meantime, let us live our lives in such a way that He is glorified and His work is furthered. May I wish you all a very wonderful New Year, full of God's blessings. Links to this post.

Alice Aust Thompson Update: June 2008
http://alicethompson.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 26, 2008. The kind of cancer I have and where it is located-near the carotid artery-makes it very possible that I could "go home" to heaven at any time. So, each morning I wake up and thank the Lord for this new day and try my best to do His will. I am resting in Him. His "little lamb," safe and secure. A wonderful thing that is going to happen is that the Fine Arts Building at Judson University (Formerly called "Judson College") is to be named after Ed and me! Links to this post.

Alice Aust Thompson Update: April 2008
http://alicethompson.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 12, 2008. What they found out from these tests was that the artery is healthy and that if it were shut off, the other side would take over. I had to stay absolutely still for half an hour-not easy! When the balloon was in there for that half hour, I kept thinking, "Well, Lord I may be with you any minute! But the artery held. I know people were praying, and I got through the ordeal successfully. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Nick's "Ramblings and Musings" Site.

Alice Aust Thompson Update: November 2007
http://alicethompson.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 26, 2007. Thanksgiving in a Nursing Home. Thanksgiving in a Nursing Home is a new experience for me. I am not allowed to go out, so here I stayed. People came to visit me! Maybe someday I’ll be able to eat again and taste food again. It would be nice, but not essential. We did our traditional thing—everyone saying what he/she was thankful for. How precious to hear them as they all thanked the Lord for His blessings, especially in regard to my health. We then watched. Links to this post.

Everyone was here, including Aunt Mary Annea, Ed's sister from California, and little baby Smith (Andrea and Tyler's baby- due in March- which will make me a great grandmother! Tyler, among other things, is a gourmet chef! The entire meal was made by him and his able assistants, Andrea and Liz. There were so many special dishes served. Of course, I could just imagine how they tasted. Everyone thought they were fabulous. Right up there on m...

Alice Aust Thompson Update: October 2007
http://alicethompson.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 29, 2007. A Tale of Goodbyes and Setbacks. Please continue to keep our Mom in your prayer. The Lord has allowed her to survive this far along in the experimental re-irradiation program of UC. Pray that she can gain more strength everyday from this point on- feeling more like a human being again. Pray also for some positive results based upon the re-irradiation and chemotherapy. She thanks all of you for your prayers and encouragement based upon the emails and cards. Sincerely, Jack :).
