201.168 Meters: Happy New Year!!!
http://onefurlong.blogspot.com/2013/01/happy-new-year.html
A lovely July in Seattle! Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Thank God we've made it to 2013! I know I haven't posted since October! I guess I was busy! We enjoyed everything we saw and did! Here's a picture of us enjoying the many pleasures of Cinque Terre, on the Italian Riviera! All in all we had a fabulous time! Believe it or not, I was scooped in my conjecture about an analogue of Bertrand's Postulate for twin prime numbers (prime numbers separated by exactly one even number, like 11 and 13 or 17 and 19, for...

A lovely July in Seattle! Monday, October 10, 2011. Still Very Much Alive and Kicking and Glad to be so! I realize that I haven't posted much lately! I've been luxuriating in my continued NEDness (No Evidence of Disease)! You probably don't want to be exposed to a lot of very short wavelength x-rays (or gamma rays) in order to achieve that kind of resolution! Perhaps thermal neutrons could be used, however! They might not damage your tissues nearly as much as the high-energy x-rays (or gamma rays) do!

A lovely July in Seattle! Saturday, October 13, 2012. In 1493, Columbus sailed the deep blue sea ! So, I've given up on Blogspot's fairly useless editor and am using Pages to generate the body of my blog post! I hope you're satisfied, Google! Anyway, getting back to the storyline, needless to say, we were all pretty dejected yesterday after our meeting with Dr. Mansfield! Even so, I'd still rather not go there unless I absolutely had to! Today (pretending that it's still Friday, October 12, 2012, Columbu...

A lovely July in Seattle! Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Concerning Furlong's Postulate . Just a few notes to clarify Furlong's Postulate! By the way, I have no earthly idea how anyone would go about trying to prove my postulate for all primes! It's not even known for sure whether there are an infinite number of twin primes! Almost every number theory nut worth their salt believes that there must be an infinite number of twin primes! And the Story Continues . However, the tumors definitely were not shrinkin...

A lovely July in Seattle! Tuesday, May 8, 2012. A Picture Worth 10,000 Words! Sheboygan Dan, a fellow Appendilooza, recently sent a link to this profoundly right cartoon:. Even the timing shown in the comic is about the same as mine! The cartoonist's "xkcd" cartoons (. A webcomic of romance,. Sarcasm, math, and language. Can be found here. Whoever he is, he's a genius as well as being hilarious! His author's "blag" can be found here. I ran across this site. June 30, 2011. I’m usually pretty private...

A lovely July in Seattle! Tuesday, April 12, 2011. D-Day is Here and H-Hour is Almost Upon Us! Less than an hour from now the alarm clock in my cell phone will go off, indicating that it is 4:00AM Central Daylight Time here in Houston, Texas. It will be time for me to wake up (assuming I ever get to sleep! Tumor or not tumor, that is the question, to which my emphatic answer and that of my wonderful surgical team led by Dr. Paul Mansfield is a resounding "Tumor no more! May God bless you all and guard yo...

A lovely July in Seattle! Saturday, February 18, 2012. On My Continuing Fascination With Units of Measurement! I enjoy playing Google's " a Google a day. Which can help hone your searching skills and almost invariably features interesting morsels of food for thought! A brilliant theoretical physicist who's a little more nerdy and OCD than I am, could tell you that today this would be understood as the Planck time. Apparently, in medieval times (Spoiler Alert! However, when I submitted "7,520 twinkles" as...

A lovely July in Seattle! Sunday, December 4, 2011. My 1 Year Diagnosis Anniversary (Yesterday)! One year ago yesterday, on Friday, December 3, 2010, I received my diagnosis of appendiceal adenocarcinoma! Thank God I'm still around one year and one day later! With N.E.D. (No Evidence of Disease) as of my most recent CT scan, which I had in early September 2011! That had escaped the bounds of my traitorous appendix and was metastasizing all over my peritoneum (also without my permission! The Nobel Laureat...
