Did you draw that? Tuesday, March 31, 2015. I'm practicing my portrait sketching. I've always loved the style of David Malan's. Portrait sketches and tried to work that in here. I have learned that i need practice! Started with my cute niece. She's a twin so maybe I'll try her sister next and see if you can tell the difference. That makes sense, right? I've stuck a few exploratory sketches to the side that led me to my final design. For this one I took a well known nursery rhyme and put it in an untraditional setting: Ole King Cole with his fiddlers three in the 20's! Flapper girls and nice suits and everyone jiving at the club. Did you draw that? Saturday, May 30, 2015. Over the last couple months I've been involved with a fundraiser for blood cancers for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (lls.org). It left me with very little time to do my art and I let that slide for the time. Not that it's over in getting back into the game! Did you draw that? Monday, December 9, 2013. Teenage Mutant "Hipster" Turtle. I've really wanted to post an illustration in process for awhile, but I tend to not keep enough process shots as I work and I'm basically left with a sketch and finished piece. NOT THIS TIME!
