Thursday, July 25, 2013. Lucy has a small Minnie Mouse obsession. So this year we had a polka dot "bow-tique" party for her. We invited more grown-ups than kids so we kept the activities a little more chill than usual. Wednesday, June 26, 2013. We went to Disneyland during the first week of summer. It was magical. We left on a Sunday and visited with some relatives on our way out. (Hi Lori! They had horses and chickens and awesome gardens. Lori prepared a dinner for us with homemade sour dough! Someday I want to try making my own sour dough, and get better at gardening and making things from raw materials. Self sufficiency is so stinkin' cool.and so much work! And by the end, we were all so tired, we needed a vacation.

Saturday, November 23, 2013. Ryann (aka Merida) just had her Brave party today. She came home and said that she felt like everybody really loved her. She also said one of her favorite parts was when everybody was crowding her and giving her gifts. Saturday, April 26, 2014. Randy's graduated with a Masters of Art from BYU. He has worked really hard the last few years, teaching full time with homework after school, and classes on the weekends. His evenings and Sundays were mostly filled with bishopric responsibilities. Still, he's been a great daddy and somehow found time to be with us. I'm very proud of him. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. The family day hike. I love this event sponsored by our city. They serve breakfast and have activities all along the trail. Our cousins go too and that adds so much to the fun. We had a fun family outdoor movie night (The Lego Movie) Then the next morning was the parade. Ian loved dancing to the music and drums. He also learned to throw candy at people. Super cute. He LOVED the water. PS This lemon cake is my new favorite. Lemon cake mix with lemon curd. Just Living Our Story -.

Wednesday, July 23, 2014. Lucy just had a frozen party. We made some hard candy to decorate the cake, and molded some white chocolate to decorate the cupcakes. (If I were to make the blue candy again, I would do only half the recipe.). She's really into secret agents right now, so here she is all dressed in her agent clothes with a frozen theme. Friday, November 28, 2014. Ryann's Secret Agent Party. I used the free printables from this Secret Agent Birthday Party. And then we just modified it. It was really nice to have this party at the church where we could use multiple rooms.
