In order to replace the garbage disposal, we had to turn off the power to it. In order to turn out the power to just that area, we had to figure out which fuse controlled the power there. Beautiful, Connected Existence. Below the rich loam, and exposed in layers along the road cuts, the rocks hide fossils of sea creatures that predate the dinosaurs: brachiopods, trilobites, ammonites and other archaic cephalopods. Fossil hunters tell me (without too much detail of course! Where they find their treasures. Indeed, this land is rich with history. So, I know this is like, a week late, but I wanted to record my thoughts about being under the night sky while trying to watch the meteor shower last week. But in the end, I really enjoyed it. It’s been so cloudy here lately that it felt like it had been ages since I saw any stars, and it has been longer since I consciously went outside to look at them. I think it would be good for me to look at the stars more often. What kind of world do we live in?
