One of the neat discoveries I made in my first adventures with javascript was that if my REST API includes Last-Modified and ETag headers in its responses, then using jQuery’s ajax method will automatically add conditional headers to subsequent requests for the same resource, retrieving the response from the browser’s cache if a 304 is returned. HTTP FTW! Unfortunately, the way I implemented pagination seems to have entirely negated this benefit for collection resources!
