Playing With Light: Friendly Visitor...
http://playingwithlight.info/2010/07/friendly-visitor.html
Thoughts on Photography and Life. Wednesday, July 28, 2010. An injured raccoon visited our apartment building last night. I think he's going to stay in our tree while he recuperates. In the meantime, we couldn't help nick-naming him "Rocky" Raccoon. Feel better soon, little guy! He let me take a few photos of him this morning. Such a cutie! Playing With Light: Our Zion Trip
http://playingwithlight.info/2010/05/our-zion-trip.html
Thoughts on Photography and Life. Monday, May 3, 2010. My family and I recently took a trip to Zion National Park- the first time for me, but my hubby has been many times. What a gorgeous place! I took gazillions of photos, of course, and managed to narrow my favorites down to about 85. I know, I know! I'm working on it! But as I said, Zion was just so beautiful. Anyway, rather than clog the "airways" here, I thought I'd just give you a link to my Flickr site. Where you can see the lot. If you like.

I know it's been forEVER since I've written, but I noticed this article from Photojojo on World Photography Day, and couldn't resist sharing:. Photojojo: Inspiration and Ideas to Celebrate World Photography Day. What are you going to do to celebrate? Personally, I need to go into work obscenely early, so I'm not sure how much celebrating I'm going to be doing. But. Happy World Photography Day! As seen on tv.

I don't know if it's kosher to mention another blog hosting site from here, but I wanted to share a new discovery with you. I love its simplicity of design and layout. Here's my first attempt at playing with the new site: PlayingWithLight.jux.com. Playing With Light - Photography by Gillian. October 27, 2011 at 10:28 AM. Its a free country! Playing With Light: On the trail again
http://playingwithlight.info/2013/02/on-trail-again.html
Thoughts on Photography and Life. Tuesday, February 12, 2013. On the trail again. In an effort to get back in hiking shape for some upcoming trips, I've been making a point to get out on the trail more often. When I was getting in shape for Half Dome, I was hiking every week! So I did a quick hike up to Sandstone Peak, the highest point in the Santa Monica Mountains. Oddly enough, the peak isn't sandstone at all, but red volcanic rock. It was a beautiful day and a good workout hike. You Might Also Like:.

Thoughts on Photography and Life. Friday, February 1, 2013. Playing at the Huntington Library and Gardens. A few weeks back, I went to visit one of my favorite places to photograph, the Huntington Library and Gardens. I had a lovely day, took lots of photos in the flower and herb gardens, and had a nice spot of tea to finish out the day. Here's one of my faves, a photo in the Japanese Garden. Thoughts on Photography and Life. Friday, January 18, 2013. Has it been that long? Has it really been over a year since I've posted? My photo adventures didn't end, in fact they've expanded to include my backpacking trips. I've just been too busy to log in here and show you. (I know, lame excuse! I wanted to share some of my latest adventures:. Backpacking trip to the top of Yosemite's Half Dome. A beautiful 6-Day backpacking trip to the Ansel Adams Wilderness. Hiking along the Mt.
