Random Marketing Thoughts

Saturday, April 08, 2006. I think they definitely gave me great insight as to why younger people do not feel the need to give to such orgs and the Amazon Conservation Team. Basically, it is not personal enough. I also realized that this type of interviewing requires patience. I needed to give up "what I thought I needed to know" and follow their thoughts/stories. Random Marketing Thoughts: Superbowl Entertainment for a Bears fan

http://randommarketingthoughts.blogspot.com/2006/02/superbowl-entertainment-for-bears-fan.html

Monday, February 06, 2006. Superbowl Entertainment for a Bears fan. I'm happy that Seattle and Pittsburgh fans everywhere had a night to be recognized as having elite football programs. Ford chose to promote its "green" hybrid with spokespuppet Kermit the Frog. I can't think of a more widely relatable, non-controversial figure. In an age where we don't necessarily have one common U.S. cultural experience due to the sheer number of stimuli available, it's difficult to find a symbol that re...GoDaddy.c...

Random Marketing Thoughts: Work-Life Balance at Target

http://randommarketingthoughts.blogspot.com/2006/02/work-life-balance-at-target.html

Sunday, February 19, 2006. Work-Life Balance at Target. Posted by Kate McHugh at 5:55 PM. How smart - both your asking to shadow someone, and his attitude that buyers need a life outside of work. I think everyone needs balance, but it seems like buyers would need an outside life more than most. How else would you know what people are really wearing and buying? I think it would be a valuable check on the market research - would Betty in choir really wear this? South Bend, IN. View my complete profile.

Random Marketing Thoughts: Cultural differences

Wednesday, February 22, 2006. Most of their flavorings related to fruit, almonds, spicy sausage and fish, which were abundant on the island. Cheese was also incorporated into many products. I assume this affinity for certain flavoring came from years of eating traditional Mallorquin dishes featuring easy to obtain ingredients. They are familiar tastes associated with memories. People can make sense of the flavoring and the texture of these items. Posted by Kate McHugh at 7:05 PM. South Bend, IN.

Random Marketing Thoughts: Time Famine

http://randommarketingthoughts.blogspot.com/2006/02/time-famine.html

Sunday, February 19, 2006. Throughout this course, we've come across new interesting lingo for describing hamun behavior and our human condition in the world today. One of my favorite take-away terms is time famine, because I do believe it is something that many of us (particularly in an MBA program and entering professional careers) suffer from in American society. This weekend, I had the opportunity to experience it firsthand. Honestly, I found it pretty depressing. Posted by Kate McHugh at 5:13 PM.

Jenny's Blog: February 2006

http://www.yellowbutterfly.net/2006_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 22, 2006. I've had a lot of fun this module exploring the blogosphere. It is absolutely amazing what turns up with Google's blog search. One funny commonality of almost every Houston related blog I viewed was a mention of Krispy Kreme's exit from the market. The majority even celebrated the superiority of the home grown Shipley's chain! I knew it was my favorite, but it seemed a little strange to read about it from other people. The Human Guinea Pig. And their shopping reports. This a...

Monday, August 11, 2014. Photo Spheres on Google Maps. I am often surprised how few people know about photo spheres. 360º panoramas, they are ridiculously easy to create using the Android camera app. Or with your own camera. There's even dedicate 360º cameras that will export to a photo sphere. Object. Here's an example:. Posted by Mano Marks. Links to this post. Friday, July 18, 2014. And Apple. Random Stock Market Thoughts

Random Stock Market Thoughts. Monday, July 23, 2007. Sell on the news. I think AAPL is setting up to be a sell on the news earnings event on Wednesday. I own the stock. I will sell between 1/2 to 3/4 of my position ahead of earnings. There is nothing wrong with the company and it probably has the best fundamentals its ever had right now. All I am betting on is a sell on the news event - then I'm a buyer again. Posted by Random Thoughts at 9:59 PM. Sunday, July 15, 2007. I'm bored so I will post. I will s...

Are we there yet?

Are we there yet? This has been a heck of a year so far. Thursday, September 30, 2010. I have a secret. I have a secret. One that I usually am very successful at hiding from the world but in the past two weeks, I have been unable to hold in it anymore. I am a klutz. Oh yeah, did I mention I picked up a straight-from-the-oven glass corningwear lid last Sunday? Worst fingers in the world to get blisters on - your thumb and middle finger. You do a lot with those suckers. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. New Improve...
