Monday, June 13, 2011. 8230;I’ve been making an effort to sample some of the produce available here. Some is similar to what I’ve had in the U.S. and some not so much. Here are a few of the recent things I’ve tried that I remembered to take pictures of. To me, it tastes like a cross between a kiwi and a pear. I scooped out the pulp with a spoon to eat it, spitting out the seeds. True to its name, it has the consistency of custard and taste similar to an apple. Expat No. 3699. June 13, 2011 at 6:19 PM.
