Sarah's Random Musings on Life

Monday, July 4, 2016. It's official. I'm moving to Penn State! A gig - There was some rockiness to the way my position ended. In the end, I was asked to write a report that expounded on some ideas I had at work. This gig not only allowed me to keep my benefits for the summer, it also pays me enough to buy a new washer dryer! Adventure: it is exciting, and it is scary. And it is happening. Friday, May 13, 2016. Another Year is in the Books. I'm not sure what will happen next, but I am glad to finally feel...

Sarah's Random Musings on Life: Desires

http://randomsarahmusings.blogspot.com/2015/04/desires.html

Wednesday, April 22, 2015. This spring has been hard and I've grown and learned a lot, but a few weeks ago I was faced with the reality that my life had been feeling hopeless. I felt stuck and resigned to a state of indefinite (and permanent feeling) transition and waiting. Through counseling, a prophecy, and reading Teach Us to Want: Longing, Ambition and the Life of Faith. By Jen Pollock Michel, I am coming believe that my preferences and desires are. What are my dreams? Of your heart. Psalm 37:4.

Sarah's Random Musings on Life: May 2016

http://randomsarahmusings.blogspot.com/2016_05_01_archive.html

Friday, May 13, 2016. Another Year is in the Books. This is my second year in a non-tenure-track job, which has allowed me to enjoy a nine month schedule. This means I have summers to do with as I please. The pay cut is SO WORTH IT. I'm not sure what will happen next, but I am glad to finally feel like I have found my calling in life: loving, serving, and educating students who are navigating a critical season in their lives. What an honor it has been to have worked here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sarah's Random Musings on Life: October 2014

http://randomsarahmusings.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 23, 2014. Mars Hill and Mark Driscoll. I actually started out my last post to write all about Mark Driscoll and what has happened at Mars Hill. I didn't feel like I could adequately explain why I care so much without giving some of my own background, so that's what the last post was all about - now back to why I started writing. Watching this whole Mark Driscoll thing unfold - from a distance and on the internet - has caused all of the feels. Why do I care so much? It shows me how grace...

Closed until further notice. Posted by Steve on June 5, 2009. Wanted to bring this to more attention. I had a particularly hate filled comment turn up on my About page. I disabled comments on this blog a while ago, but had left that on. Some individual became so enraged and full of hate over my post that they went to the trouble of going to my About page and posting there. They posted the following. ...and Sarah clapped.

Often Sarah would have spells where she lost time / she saw the future, she heard voices from inside / the kind of voices she would soon learn to deny - Ben Folds. Monday, April 5, 2010. A defence of england. I have an English friend who isn't such a big fan of her country and can't understand why I like it so much. So I've decided to condense all of my reasons into a blog post. Sunday, June 27, 2010. The Argument FOR Barry Bonds (aka "Michelle is High"). OMG, Michelle's saying a good thing about a former Giant? Doesn't that make her unworthy to wear an A's hat? 1) Before he turned into The Incredible Bulk, he was pretty amazing. Gold Glove winner, five tool player, 40/40 guy, only dude to get to 500 home runs/500 steals (although the 500th home run came after the bulking, he would have gotten there regardless), and just generally very kickass, well rounded player. 4) A lot of p...
