The Chronicled Saunterings of an Unsettled Mind. On Bad days, There's No Such thing as TMI. I should have known this would be a rough day. I should have known the moment the cashier in Walgreens asked me, "How are you today? When I was checking out with nothing but two large packs of Kotex. I wanted to say:. Take a guess." (gesturing to the merchandise). Better now." (thumbs up toward the merchandise). But instead I said:. Great, how are you? Deliberately NOT looking at the merchandise). Brought To You by.

the Chronicled Saunterings of an Unsettled Mind: NaNo Continues...

The Chronicled Saunterings of an Unsettled Mind. I was making dinner and this mini-scene popped into my head. It has nothing to do with the novel I'm working on for NaNoWriMo, just a mildly entertaining slice-of-life thing. Like a hopeful future. The person I hope I remember to be. I cringe inside, hearing my daughter screech for me from the other side of the house. My guests, my best friends from college, try to hide their own discomfort. You know, the woman who GAVE YOU LIFE? 8220;Are you chores done?

The Chronicled Saunterings of an Unsettled Mind. Too Personal to post.but I Did anyway. I'm not sleeping because I'm trying to remember the last time I had fun. Last week I visited family - we played board games, teased each other, saw Guardians of the Galaxy, talked a lot and laughed a lot more. But I don't think that counts. That was outside of my normal life - a special exception to my usual routine. When was the last time I had fun in my routine? I fear I may have forgotten how to have fun. Now I'm f...

The Chronicled Saunterings of an Unsettled Mind. I'm currently reading Button, Button (uncanny stories). By Richard Matheson and it's fantastic. I'm on the short story "Mute" and I want to go on but I can't get past,. Sounds could cover fragile, darting symbols with a hideous, restraining dough, dough that would be baked in ovens of articulation, then chopped into the stunted lengths of words. If you ever get a chance to read Matheson's short story, "Pattern for Survival" you should, because it's fabulous.

Pronounced just how it sounds. Brob-ding-NAG-eeyun. It means huge or gigantic. I've been really into words lately. New words, obscure words, words that will give me an edge in BOGGLE. Yes boggle. that game with the letters and words, yeah, that one.). And make me more efficient blah blah blah. So I chose Boggle.

The Chronicled Saunterings of an Unsettled Mind. Hasty And Poorly written arizona Update. My husband got a job working for the beautiful city of Sedona, Arizona. So after living in Utah for 18 years, I packed up up my 6 month baby and started the process of moving down to AZ to be with my husband. We found a little blue house with a porch and an apricot tree and decided to move over President's Day weekend. This is how it's gone so far:. Wellcome anyway, just leave a little later. I'll call you when ...

The Chronicled Saunterings of an Unsettled Mind. Where Was I Going with this? I don't actually remember the last time I wrote on this blog. We moved to Arizona last month. I live in a house now. We're renting, but still. A house! My very own house! Sure beats a dark, cramped basement. My baby girl has her very own room (a "nursery," if you will. fancy fancy.) and I have a ginormous. Closet and a back yard and a sunny porch. Personal experience talking here. I think miss Precious over there has entertaine...

The Chronicled Saunterings of an Unsettled Mind. I just finished reading "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green. It is a beautiful book. I'm so jealous at John Green's cleverness and wit. It was funny and moving and heart-breaking. It made me want to write. If only I had something to write about. If only I could write something beautiful. Or meaningful. Or insightful. Or even just slightly humorous. I would settle for slightly humorous. I love my baby girl to the end of time and back, but I do. The tempe...

The Chronicled Saunterings of an Unsettled Mind. Love Newton Faulkner forever. If my heart could utter words and those words became a prayer, these would be the words. And if you could hear my heart's prayer and it sounded like a song, it would sound exactly like this:. Brought To You by. I haven't been blogging. Because I've been doing this:. I'm sure you understand. Keep coming back, I'll blog again. And it'll be interesting and riveting and true. Or rambling, snarky and sarcastic. Brought To You by.

The Chronicled Saunterings of an Unsettled Mind. This has been my life philosophy for a long time and this is the first time I've seen it worded so eloquently and compelling. So here, I share with you, words of a wiser man and possessor of words greater than my own. Truth, if it be truth, arises from each testing, stronger, more secure. Those that would silence doubt are filled with fear; their houses are built on shifting sands. 8211; Robert Weston. Brought To You by. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Wife an...
