Too Much Driving...: March 2013
http://westcoasttrips.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
The West Coast Adventures of Mel and Nate. Saturday, March 2, 2013. More canoeing, and some other stuff. Screwing around by Fort Rock. The waterline where waves from an ancient inland lake eroded the rock. Doesn't look like it, but there is a tiny shelf he is walking on. We were wondering if anyone ever climbs here. we found a little evidence, but not much. Out in that flatland is where the old lake was. Pretty steep off the north side! Not too many folks out here. :). Looking north towards Paulina Peak.

The West Coast Adventures of Mel and Nate. Sunday, August 21, 2011. Upper Menagerie - 8/21/11. Panorama point and the Rabbit Ears. First looky look at the bridge. The bridge up close. You can walk across the top of it, but the whole formation seems pretty precarious. The view from the top. This week's "incredible tree". View from the alcove below the bridge. Bridge from below. Doesn't appear that there is much holding this up. Cusk and Hoy after the first (mossy) pitch. Monkey face v2.0? Mark scoping out...

The West Coast Adventures of Mel and Nate. Friday, January 11, 2013. Skinning up Mary's Peak in a horrible storm (super windy). Still pretty though. Here's Mel, Mark, and Bella working their way up. Okay, different trip now. Huge dump of snow, so much that Apollo could only tunnel downhill. John and Anna doing a snowpack assessment to check the avalanche conditions. John finds some "Hamburger Air". Apollo is infinitely strong, but John decided to give him a break (so I could snap their Xmas card photo!

The West Coast Adventures of Mel and Nate. Thursday, September 8, 2011. Paiute Lake on the hike in. Our camp spot for the first night, just below the pass (we got a late start! Nice relaxing start to the morning. The dogs were pretty stoked to play in the snow. Apparently Chris was too. Paiute pass and our first look at the lakes of Humphreys Basin. Oops, missed the bike in that first shot. Boiler Bay, now heading south. Awesome little bridge near the start of the Otter Crest one way loop. Taken from the Otter Crest loop road. Yeah, sometimes I forget how awesome it is here. One lane awesomeness, right above the water. Almost drove right by this sneaky little coastal arch.

The West Coast Adventures of Mel and Nate. Friday, July 22, 2011. Okay, I know I really should be putting up pics from our bad assed wedding, but since our shots haven't made it back to us yet in digital form, you are going to be stuck looking at this other crap in the interm. :). Okay, I'd be as stoked as Mark is if I were riding a Pugsley. Yep, pretty much everyone has fun on the Pugsley. Except for viking warriors trying to duck under an obstacle. Here's Kaz on the approach to Diamond Peak. Okay, here...
