Scotty Hockey: Adieu Andrea, We Shall Miss You
http://scottyhockey.blogspot.com/2014/04/adieu-andrea-we-shall-miss-you.html
Sunday, April 20, 2014. Adieu Andrea, We Shall Miss You. I received the news tonight that Andrea Gallo lost her battle to stomach cancer Friday morning. As she would admonish me for even speculating her age, I will just say that Andrea was a long-suffering Blue Blood, a section 334 regular and all-around wonderful woman to be around. A social butterfly, she could - and did - strike up a conversation with anyone and was a terrific person to share the Ranger experience with. Consensus is rare in life, yet ...

Scotty Hockey: July 2013

Friday, July 19, 2013. New In Blue 2013. So what did Glen do for Vigneault? Dominic Moore ( @mooredom. Dom is pulling a Kovalev by coming back to the team that drafted him after a few seasons astray. Everyone remembers this commercial. After a battle with cancer so it will be interesting to see how fast he can find his form and if he still has it in him to skate at the breakneck NHL pace. Hopefully the Rangers do something with him/in his wife's memory for Hockey Fights Cancer. Justin Falk ( @juicerfalk.

Scotty Hockey: May 2013

Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Ding Dong, Torts Is Gone. Glen Sather sent another coach packing today, as he issued a pink slip to John Tortorella. That's the fifth bench boss of the general manager's time atop the Ranger ladder, if you count Sather himself. But as the Stealth GM - as the Pundit. It goes back to what I said. Money does move the world but the Yotes' ownership saga may be nearing its end. Hopefully the next guy will find better results. Glen sather needs to retire. Grading the Brass 2013. The Wh...

Monday, July 15, 2013. Photo of the Day: What a Babe . I know more than a few girls that would love to play some puck with the Rangers and tonight I came across a photo of one who actually did: Babe Didrikson Zaharias. A multi-sport star during the golden age of sports (20s, 30s), the Babe is one of the all-time greatest female athletes. Below is a cool shot of her at a Blueshirts' practice about to take a shot at Andy Aitkenhead. Original source is here. History can be fun. Slap Shot Quote Of The Week.

Scotty Hockey: Del Zastrous Days Are Done

Thursday, January 23, 2014. Del Zastrous Days Are Done. The seeds of Michael Del Zotto's demise as a Ranger were sown on August 31st, 1995, when he was just five years old. On that date the Rangers traded Sergei Zubov to the Penguins along with Petr Nedved for Luc Robitaille and Ulf Samuelsson. Why was Zubov the catalyst for DZ and not Leetch? Friday, July 5, 2013. Sorry for the clutter, don't have the time to make it too pretty. That's a dangerous wager. Some guys that are older or have been bought out are included on the list, obviously with the hope that they'll take pay cuts . Guys I Want On The Rangers. R PIT 36 $7,000,000. Iggy didn't mesh with Pittsburgh but that doesn't change the fact that he is everything you want in a hockey player. D LAK 34 $3,400,000. The New York native is a solid soldier at the back end and a Cup winner. R CAR 3...
