Ranzha's Skewb Method — For Beginners. If you're a beginner to Skewb solving, here's the place to be! I recommend that you know how the Skewb turns as well as notation. You don't need to know how to solve a Skewb before looking at this tutorial, but I'd recommend having a working understanding of how the puzzle operates before looking into this method. The Hurp-Derp System for Calling Team BLD. Team BLD is a fun unofficial event in which two competitors participate as a team to solve a 3x3, with one competitor being "the eyes" and the other competitor "the hands". "The eyes" can never touch the puzzle, and "the hands" is blindfolded and is never allowed to see the puzzle. The participants can communicate, usually verbally. Step Three: Last Four Centres (L4C). In this step, you'll solve the remaining centres of the puzzle. Here you'll find algorithms for all 81 of the Welder's Mask cases. Each of the solutions to the cases is 2-gen, i.e. the only twists used are F moves and R moves.
