I was supposed to be reading but I really wanted to get outside and enjoy the sunny fall day we had last weekend so I decided to find out where Regina is hiding its trails. Just east of town I found the White Butte Trails. That in the winter become x-country ski trails. Other than some wet areas that required a bit of dodging into the trees to avoid wet feet it was a nice walk. Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. In February, the coldest, darkest, most dreariest part of winter we decided to check out Moose Jaw. Moose Jaw is a city about an hour away west of Regina with a well known spa, art gallery and underground tunnels to be explored. We stayed at the Mineral Springs Hotel. The Yvette Moore Gallery. Is a truly great find for local arts and great food. Everything from pottery to pictures and the quaintest women's bathroom sitting area ever is here.
